August Wedding??

Hi there

 

My FI and I are thinking of an August 09 wedding at ROR but are being put off with all the holiday brochures reporting the rainy season. Does anyone have any experience of visiting Jamaica at this time of year so we can make an informed decision or just choose another destination.

 

Any suggestions or info would be fab

The week we were married (July) the weather forcasted rain almost every day. Some days it did rain but the rain only lasted for about 30 minutes to an hour if it actually did rain. Most of the time it was in the early afternoon. I don't think it ever rained past 3 o'clock.

 

Tropical showers are very different than the rainy days we are use to. They happen so quickly and then the rest of the day is virtually unaffected by the rain.

Thanks for your help with this as all the info is sooooo confusing about the weather. We have decided to have a trip in september to the ROR and check it out for ourselves and have a look at all the facilities etc.....
