*Help* Sandos Caracol

Hello everyone,

My SIL might be getting married here and I was wondering if anyone had any experiences getting married here. Any info about the resort, the photographer and pictures, or any other information would be great. Thanks everyone.

I went to the Sandos Caracol prior to my wedding to scout the beach, grounds, service and food. Unfortunately it wasn't up to my standards. The beach was full of rocks and not safe. We spent most of our time in the pool which was infested with little kids (you know what that means - lots of peeing). The food was decent and the rooms were ok. I'm not sure what your SIL is looking for but I would rate this a 3.5-4 star. Needless to say I'm not getting married there in April. We chose to get married in punta cana.

I overall was not impressed with the resort either. When I was doing my site visits I stayed there for a few nights while in between Cancun and Tulum..I had found a great last minute deal on hotwire. Ironically, I don't have any pictures (sorry) and I didn't see any weddings while I was there. I think that there are a lot of hotels in area which would offer you better food and nicer rooms. There was also a strange overly aggressive sales pitch there to try and get you to do a time-share. There is a Sandos in Playcar however which I found (on accident) and looked beautiful and was in a cute stretch of hotels!!!! I would recommend checking out the one in Playcar over Sandos Caracol. That's my two cents..hope it helps. But also just remember that it's beautiful blue waters and a special occassion- so you really will be happy just about anywhere!!!
