Tour Companies in Ocho Rios

Hi everyone,

 

My Mom wants to plan a tour for all of our wedding guests. We're thinking the Dunn's River Falls tour, although I've read somewhere about a sailboat with snorkelling, drinks, and a trip to the falls which would be fun.

 

Anyways, I thought that I would try to get her some information to start looking into and the best source of that is you ladies! I did a little searching on the forum and have found the following 2 companies, but thought that it would be great and useful for all, if we had a list of companies that people had used and liked (or disliked), the tours they went on (and liked or disliked) etc. I will be happy to compile a master list and keep updating it with all of our suggestions.

 

So, anyone who's been to Ocho Rios and done day trips/excursions/tours whatever. Let us know who you booked with, if you booked before you arrived in Jamaica or at the hotel, what you did, and even how much it cost.

I booked an excursion with Divine Tours - Jamaica

 

I have a group of 20 and they offer a private tour for our group on an AC bus. Our trip will depart from Negril, but they may have other tours in Ocho Rios

I planned a small excursion to Dunn's River Falls with Lees Tours. They were very nice and accommodating.

We used Lee's for a trip to Dunn's River & for a shopping trip.

We used Lee's Tours and Taxi for a trip to Dunns Fall's and shopping afterwards...as well we had them taxi us from the airport @ MB to the Riu...alot nicer than the shuttle bus with a ton of other ppl and their luggage

 

Lee's were awesome and Norma provides a cell phone so I could call her from the Riu and set whatever we wanted up for same day service if we wanted...Just can't say enough good things about them

Do you have to book in advance, or can you book the excursion when you get there?

You can book in advance, she's is very nice and she even called me today to make sure all of my needs are being met.

I can't remember what we paid for the trip to Dunn's I know we had to pay seperate at the gate for admisson but I think for Lee's to pick us up...take us to the falls..take us shopping afterwards....then drop off was somewhere around $6.00 a person

The transfer from airport was $40.00 per person roundtrip

We used Lee's Tours to transport our 40 guests from the ceremony (at SGOR resort) to the reception (Evita's Restaurant) and this also included private transportation for us (B&G), and they were at our beck & call all for $260. We also planned a separate excursion for our guests to tour Ocho Rios, visit Dunn's River Falls and shopping tour for $30 pp.
