I love this forum! It has already been so helpful, and just to know that so many other people are having destination weddings is awesome!!! I plan on getting married august 25th of this year in Punta Cana, DR. I already have all the prices and I just need to finalize. I am soooo excited.

August 25th will be 2 years since we got engaged, and during that time, every time I would sit down and try to plan a traditional wedding i would get discouraged and give up. Until about a month and a half ago when I started seriously considering a destination wedding. We stayed at the paradisus punta cana last year for vacation and it was absolutely amazing! So knowing that I liked the paradisus, I chose the paradisus palma real. I can't wait

Welcome Christie! I'm so happy you have picked a location already that is the biggest headache in the beginning. With that out of the way you can begin planning on the fun details. There are a lot of DR brides here so I'm sure you'll get lots of info. Also, I know a few brides on this site were inquiring about the Paradisus so hopefully you can give them some insight to the locale as well.
