Crazy to get my dress 8 months before?

Congratualations! I bought mine at 9 mos (now the trick is just to not get pregnant...). I think it is easier to plan the rest of the wedding if you know what your look is for the day (as we all know that it will all revolve around us...right....?)

Definitely not crazy to have bought your dress 8 months before the wedding. The more important question is, why haven't you posted any pictures for us? Or did I miss them?

Definitely not too early! When I went they said you should get your dress 9-6 months before your wedding. And no later than 6 so you have time to do all your fittings, bridal portrait and make all the little adjustments. It's way better to get it early than late. I ordered mine last month, am getting it in November, but don't wed until May 2009. So no worries. Congrats on finding the dress! I'm sure its stunning.

That's not too early AT ALL. Infact, in all the wedding planning things I've read, one of the first things they tell you to do (about a year out) is get your dress. 8 months will be here before you know it. It's funny but EVERY SINGLE PERSON including myself that I've talked to, ended up wearing the first dress they fell in love with. Mine was one of the 1st ones I tried on, and although I loved it, I thought I better keep looking. After 2 more trips, I went back and bought the dress of my dreams

No, that's awesome! But what you need to do is STOP looking at dresses now or you will second guess your decision! Move on to planning other stuff and mark this one off your list!

I found my dress a YEAR before my wedding and ordered it 7 months before. So no, it's not too early.
