So I was thinking of putting blue pillows on my sofa (right now they are black) and I have that blue throw blanket. How would you guys incorporate the accent color? I really think the blue needs to be carried through on the other side of the wall to blance it out. KWIM?

you also have a lot of empty wall space next to the pic on that wall. are you keeping that lamp in the corner? if not, you could put up dark wood shelves and put some accent pieces on the shelves...i'd put some books and maybe use large candles as bookends.

Nope that lamp is going, if you notice the bottom of it, one of our wonderful foster dogs decided to chew it.. lol I have a matching one in the room on the other side of the couch that you can't see. But those lamps are what I'm replacing. The picture above the couch is being moved down and centered. It was fine with the old couch but not now. For the corner where that lamp is, I was thinking of putting a plant back there.. Remember I'm going to have an end table in that empty spot inbetween the couch and chair. (still not sure about the plant, but it's my current idea)
