Valentin Imperial Maya Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hi Ahollo,

From what I was told before there are two different prices for the day passes one price allows them on the property from like 8 am- 4pm (don't quote me on the times) and the other price is from 4 pm - 1 am.  What Ariadna told me before was this gets them onto the property for the day and their food and drink for the wedding was included in that price.  I hope that helps!  I'm not exactly sure if they'd be able to go to other resturants during the time they aren't at the wedding though.....

Ahollo and Brandee-

We have at least one guest staying off site and also were quoted the $95 for a day pass. I was under the impression that it included everything that a resort-stayer got- drinks, food, non motorized sports, etc. I'll have to ask.

I also think Ana said that we would have to pay the additional fee for the Cocktail hour and Reception for him.

I'll send her an email and ask and let you all know.

I also got the prices for my flowers and will include in another post in a second.

25 days!!! EEK!

Nikki,

He was fairly responsive to us.  He emailed a ton of useful info and seemed really organized.  My US-based wedding planning has been dealing with him.  She did mentioned that it took her a couple of times to get him to write back with answers to a couple of questions, but he was really apologetic for not getting back to her sooner.  If you PM me your email, I can send you all the info he sent me.  And I'd follow up with him again...I'm sure he's not purposefully ignoring your email.

Hi VIM Brides!

Just renewing with BDW as my wedding date approaches and the anxiety level gets higher...

I'm getting married on January 26th. Anyone else getting married that week?

I have a ton of questions. Here are a few:

- Speakers: What kind of iPod speakers are you bringing? I don't have any but would rather buy them and take them with me instead of paying for a DJ as we're a small group (20 guests) so I can't justify the expense.

- Dancing: I read there was dancing/DJ (?) at the Plaza. Can you make song requests? Until what time is it open? How is it?

- Confetti: is biodegradable confetti permitted or only bubbles? (Not a fan of bubbles)

- Any ideas for a group excursion?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi!  He actually got back to me last week after I emailed Ana regarding the lack of response.  Apparently, my emails were going to his spam.  I received the lists of all the songs and attachments and was impressed.

I had emailed Mannia too and he got back to me right away.  Mannia is cheaper but with the vendor fee it ends up being the same as Doremixx.  Therefore, we are going to go with Doremixx because he is more familiar with Ana and Valentin.

Sweet Pea,

- Speakers: I know the wedding coordinators have some nice speakers. I've heard they charge money though but it might save you the pain of toting them to Mexico.

- Dancing: There is dancing in the Plaza til 1:00am and the sports bar right beside it is open until 2:00. You can make song requests and one of the nights there was karaoke.

- Confetti: don't know on this. We forgot all about making an exit and all just went to the disco. I regret this one a little bit.

- Group excursion: Ariadna, one of the WCs also does group excursions, so she'd be good to ask. Most trips take all day. We never made it out b/c they require early mornings and we just wanted to relax, but our guests went to Tulum and Coba and loved both. Coba is less touristy but the pics of Tulum were breathtaking. Other options are zip-lining, snorkling, Cozymel, shopping in Playa del Carmen, and exploring cenotes. Some of these options can be combined, and there are numerous tour companies located by the lobby at the VIM who offer tons of options but you need to book the morning before.

Finally, my experience was that the WCs didn't respond super quickly to all emails (because they're VERY busy), BUT once I was there, I felt like Ariadna and Ana would do anything to help us and were as prompt, friendly, and accommodating as anyone could ever hope for. I recommend that you write down your list of questions and ask away upon your arrival. When we were checking in, Ana came down and asked us to meet with her after check in, then we met with Ariadna (via appointment) the next day for about 2 hours going over everything. She even asked questions I never would have thought of and really does take care of it all.
