So I booked my trip! Yayy! It's a load off my chest! I have 4 others booked as well so far. I wanted to do it wayyyy earlier but times fly and I just noticed it was August! Crap!

I am just reading about all of the recent changes at the resort and a little bit dissapointed too.  Thanks for the tips about the extra charges because we also booked our wedding date in June with the resort but recently had to rebook all of our trips with a different tour operator because of changes in flight schedules.

 

Is anyone else working with Ana because I keep reading only about Ariadna as a WC?  She seems to be really helpful so far but we are just starting the process.

Apparently from what i've heard Ana is Ariadna's new assistnat....... the other WC Lupita got fired I'm assuming. 

 

I just read someone's review on tripadvisor that said they were down there when a few weddings were going on and that they would highly recommend this resort for a destination wedding.... that's always nice to hear!!!

We are back from vacation and need to move foward full steam on the wedding planning.

 

I'm curious what flowers you all chose? Ana sent me some pics of choices and none of them really do anything for me.

I went with a bouquet of white calla lillies and had the stems wrapped in blue ribbon (that I brought) to match our color. You can pretty much have whatever you want if you don't see it. Just find inspiration pics of what you're looking for and email them to your wc. I couldn't really find the bouquet that I was looking for so I sent Lupita a pic of what I wanted and it turned out better then I had hoped for.

So my wedding date at the VIM is May 14, 2011!  I just read about the changes to the resort, FI will be very upset to hear the beer coolers are gone - we were there in Feb this year and that was one of his favorite things about the resort LOL.

 

Has anyone tried to negotiate group rates directly with the hotel, or are you dealing with Travel Agents?
