Yeah I tried stating that I was going to have a beach reception also and they still would not waive it.

So the next day i called again and spoke to someone else and she stated that Lissette was wrong that it was included.
I wasn't aware that it is incl w/ the ultimate package... hmmm i wonder if that would be better financially than doing the "free wedding" package included in my stay and then a la carte for dinnerhuh.gif

our dinner choices were completely different than anything they had in any of the restaurants, so ours was different food. i don't know what they're offering you for dinner tho...
Just an update on this thread: the WC confirmed that in fact we DON'T have to pay per drink. I got that idea somewhere else on the site and just assumed it was the truth. My mistake for not checking it out first! I'm still not crazy about having to pay for food at an AI, but so be it.

Hi Mrsmlbs! I love my logo too! If you search "Sarah Sproull" or "Sproull Designs" on the site you'll find the creator of this, and many others on here. Her site has plenty of samples and colours to choose from, and if you have something specific in mind, she can create a custom one for you. In fact, she just changed the colours on mine for me (although I haven't changed my siggy yet) and created a really great initials-only monogram that I'll use for envelope backs, etc.

you can possibly get around the private reception and just ask to book 4 tables of ten in any restaurant of your choice for your wedding dinner - the only thing different would be is that you wouldnt be able to have the DJ in the restaurant, but they will decorate it lovely - present the cake and possibly let you take your PA system in the restauruant - regardless your wedding coordinator will decorate your tables lovely and it will be pretty much private. We did it this way and had a two hour cocktail reception on the beach instead of one with rum drink bar, trio band, cigar roller, appetizers and firedancers and was only a fraction of the cost of full private reception with the same effect. With the money we saved we were able to add on all kinds of entertainment during cocktail hours and next day excursion for us and guests - totally awesome wedding, mre than enough food and drink - very happy with the bill.

so did you supply the decorations for the tables in the restaurant or did you get them through the wedding coordinator ?
