The resort really isn't that big.  I was worried the ballrooms were forever away, but they really aren't.  You can walk just about anywhere in 10 minutes or less.  

 

The Spa arranged the timing of my hair/makeup appt.  I had a 5pm ceremony and they scheduled me at 12noon, which at first seemed really early, but in reality time just disappears during that day.  Due to unforeseen complications (I'll explain in my review) I arrived at 1230pm and my appt lasted until 245pm.  I ran back to the room, got into my dress and then met with my fiance for a pre-wedding photo shoot at 315pm.  We were done by 345pm, I took photos with my BMs, the mothers, and the flower girl.  And we had ordered room service to be delivered at 4pm for a little bit of 'down time'.  Next thing I knew, my dad was at the door and it was time to go!  Give yourself lots of extra time.

Im just looking over their silver and gold menu's and having troubles deciding. I've heard really good things about the surf and turf on the gold menu but what about the caribbean shrimp salad on the gold menu? Can anyone give me some feedback on the gold menu's caribbean shrimp salad????

Also, what did everyone's timeline look like for getting ready/pictures/salon?? I have my photographer for 5 hours right now, I figured an hour in the room with the girls, so I guess I should make my hair appointment before that right?? My ceremony is at 4pm, and we're doing pictures before. So maybe hair appt. at 12:30, then getting ready in the room from 2-3 with photographer, then our couple pictures from 3-4...what does everyone think?

I don't have any experience with the Gold menu, but the Silver menu was great!  I've just posted my review, but honestly I'm glad we didn't pay extra for the Gold.  I had guests who had the surf & turf from the Seaside Grill and they said the lobster was rubbery, but I know brides on here that have said it was really good so it's hard to say.  I'm sure you can't go wrong either way

I think the surf & turf in the gold wedding package actually includes shrimp unless you pay extra to upgrade to lobster.

Ladies, have a question about flowers- I received my planning packet yesterday (woohoo) and they want me to put down a specific style number - but while I like the style I do not want those colors. I've included photos of the colors I like...do you think that is enough for them to get the idea?

 

Specifically for centerpieces I like the container in one but the flowers in the other, I am so nervous this will become lost in translation!

This is a photo of another wedding while we were there.  Reception was poolside.  Thought it was interesting that the paperlanterns were plenty of light
