We also plan on getting married a few days prior to going to Mexico.  We also want to avoid the blood work and translation etc.......And we are ONLY telling the people who are coming to stand in as witnesses!!!

Is anyone hiring an outside DJ?? i mean i know the resort charges u for like little things like microphones and the 11% tax on it and 15% grat, and thats just for the ceremony. i found a DJ that would do my ceremony AND reception for only $625! help...

We are gettting a Dj..Dj Mannia. And its costing us about $300 more then that but hes has gotten Awesome reviews so thats one thing i will not have to worry about at the wedding because we were originally going to just bring an ipod down with us but the more i thought about it i realized it wouldve been more of a hassle then anything!!

That's what we are doing, he will also be doing our ceremony.  It works out much better to have him do both, plus it takes the stress off of my to have a guest announce us and then have to change music at my own wedding.

you have to purchase a day pass for the DJ.
