I just received an e-mail from Aurora staing that the fire dancers are now 700$ for 20 mins? Is this really the going rate? I thought it was less expensive and for a longer show

hi everyone...i ordered my wedding dress a few weeks ago and am now wondering what type of shoes, if any, should I wear. My ceremony and reception will both be on the beach as of now so I'm not sure if I should wear heels.

What are you ladies doing? Going barefoot, heels or barefoot sandals?

Well I have been on vacation for 2 weeks (Greek Islands!!!) and I see the forum has been as busy as always. A HUGE thanks to Blkatz for answering so many questions. There are very few brides who stick around after their weddings and take the time to answer questions. I know all you brides really appreciate it. And she is in fact in a better position to answer questions that I am since I am not practically an old married woman

 

I see we don't have any new reviews, we need our married ladies to start writing! We do have A LOT of weddings in this last week of June so hopefully we have a ton of reviews soon.

No there are no discounts. There use to be a basic admission and an all-inclusive admission, but now there is only the all-inclusive admission (food, snorkelling equipment, etc)

Hopefully, things will go more smoothly when we get there!

Last year the taxi was 7$ and the entrace fee approx 4$ (you can't pay the entrance fee in US money, you need pesos).

 

It's not a problem to get several taxis, there is a "station" (i.e. line-up of taxis) on the road just outside the hotel.

I tipped Landy 40$, I knew it wasn't much by our standards but it is a lot in Mexico. But I am sure there are lots of brides much more generous that me Also I had a small wedding and I used the free package. I would have tipped more in other circumstances. But I did feel the need to tip since I felt she went above and beyond. I also gave her 10$ to give to the 2 guys who did our gazebo set-up. And I think we tipped the waiter 20$ (we only had one waiter since we were just 10 people).

 

I paid for my photographer to get her hair done (40$) since she had travelled with us. I thought that was enough. Then again, I had some issues with her. Maybe if I hadn't I would have been more generous.

Funny, as quoted above somebody else just said a couple days ago they were quoted 600$ for 15 mins (make sure you get the extra 5 mins if you are paying the extra 100$!!!)

We had both our ceremony and reception on the beach and I wore a wedge flip flop (about 2 1/2") with jewels and beading around the thong part and had no problems walking on the beach.

Also, just wanted to let you guys know if you are interedted in doing Thank you Postcards as your thank you cards I have a great website to check out and once ours are complete, hopefully I can figure out a way to post it?!?!?!

I wore flipflops to walk around in and then I just went barefoot for the ceremony. the sand is super soft around the canopy and it was great

Hello Ladies!

Just got back from Dreams today!! My wedding on Saturday was perfect:))))) I have been waiting to say this, but all of you were correct, it is absolutley wonderful when you get there!!! AMAZING!! I am literally speechless at how much I enjoyed the wedding/vacation etc. I will get to my review soon I promise!!!

 

I was also able to watch Lindsay's wedding from my balcony on Tuesday....it was georgeous as well!! Lindsay's dress and wedding looked amazing:)))

I am just wondering if anyone else is having trouble getting email replies back from Natalia lately? Is she on holiday or something because I have emailed her three times in the past three weeks and I have gotten no reply (usually she replies back within the week)...is anyone else having communication problems??

Hello everyone,

 

So we were about to book at the Dreams Tulum and then found another resort that we were very interested in. A few hiccups with the other resort so we are back to the Dreams Resorts as our fav option.

 

We discovered that a new Dreams is being built and should be completed in Fall 2009, the Dreams Riviera Cancun. I have sent an email request in to them but have not heard anything.

 

Wondering if anyone has any info on the resort or who the WC will be?
