The new Dreams Tulum thread! (Post all DT Qs&As here)

Amy you're the best, thanks so much for answering my questions!!!

I just received my planning docs from Anabel...it feels so real now!

I'm getting projects done at warp speed now - can't wait to post my planning thread in a couple weeks :)

OH - one other question...and Stephanie's new update would/will likely help with this, but before its up I'm wondering if anyone has used the beach location by the activities hut (as opposed to the beach location next to seaside grill)? Since Sblake is having her ceremony by Seaside Grill at 3pm and DJ Mannia is going to be setting up and doing sound checks at 4pm (when my ceremony is) I'm wondering if maybe I should just have my ceremony on the other side of the beach...i don't think i even checked it out when i was there for my site visit in July so i can't remember what that end looks like...

Neen, check out page 2 for a couple pictures of that gazebo. The 2 big differences in my opinion are the fact that it's a bit less private (there are people all around you, versus only on one side if you are at the gazebo next to seaside grill) and that the ocean isn't as nice looking because there is coral in the water there (next to the seaside grill is actually the best part of the beach, so the ocean looks better). Also there would be the fact that you are closer to the rocks area for your pictures, but you could always walk over that way.

Why not wait till you get there and have a look to decide.

I know a couple people have gotten married there, but not many, most are next to the seaside grill. Laura (from late 07 or early 0cool.gif got married there and has photos. I don't remember offhand who the others are.

Oh and my mom actually carried on my dress. They put it in the first class closet. They said the toughest part was putting it through security. it got a little smooshed going through the security thing... Oh and nothing broke in my suitcases. I wrapped it all up.
Yes!!! We definitely have the same dresses. My color is called tangerine, but it looks more like coral. I'm going to have the dresses shortened to right above their knees though.

I am a little preturbed girls!!!

I got an e-mail from Natalia answering some questions I had sent Landy like a month ago. Natalia informed me that there will be three weddings on my day. WTF!! I thought there were only 2 weddings per day.

Additionally 2 of BMs canceled. One can't even go to the wedding at all any more and another is going but is not going to be able to be in the wedding. On top of that, on of FIs GM canceled too.

From what other girls have said after speaking to / emailing the coordinators, although the official policy is no (as per the book) they let you do it anyways. music has to end at 10:30pm

Can anyone confirm this is what we've heard?

I am a little surprised that they are doing 3 weddings in one day-I thought they were only doing 2. I will make sure to ask about this next week.
My best friend (MOH) just called me last night to tell me that they couldnt come to the wedding. I cried to Jay last night and decided that I am going to help my other best friend pay for some of the wedding. More stress to deal with

Aw, that's terrible! I'm really surprised they would allow three weddings on one day. I wonder why they overbooked? (My guess is $$$). My only concern for you would be whether you get your first choice of wedding and reception venues. Do you know where you want to have your reception? Perhaps you can request to secure your reception venue now (even though I think it's policy to choose your venue one month before - unless you're in the ballroom I suppose).

That really sucks about your wedding party members backing out. I'm getting married only 2 days after you and I've been wondering lately whether we'll have some last minute cancellations. I have a close friend who's getting married in Jamaica in January and she's been dealing with similar issues with one of her BMs (and she only has two). At the end of the day, your wedding is about YOU and your hubby, so try not to get too bummed out about what other people are doing. No matter what, it's going to be one of the most memorable days of your life. Chin up!
