After TA stole our money, NO GUEST

I posted this on the knot this morning to alert more people. Someone contacted their TA & got this response:

 

 

 

People should be very cautious about booking with travel companies that have NOT

Been in business at least 10 years. They should also not book with a company that

Does not have a physical site (office) or that is NOT a member of Iatan. (Portal)

 

 

I knew the owner of exotic escapes. She worked for another company in Portland Oregon

Years ago and then got FIRED and started her own business…by mortgaging

her house. I didn’t think she would make it because she had no personality or businesses

sense at all. She just got mad she was fired from her job with Turtle Island and thought

She could do it on her own, and she has hurt the industry now. !!!

 

Just thought I'd share this info with you. I did not know what to look for when contacting a TA so thought this might be helpful to others.

Oh my, what a horrible situation. I am so sorry for your loss of money and now your parents not being able to go to the wedding. It's a scary world we live in, so many people out there with no morals.

omg, I can't believe this is happening to you. I have a similar situation, but not nearly as bad. If this didn't get resolved by the police/ laywers I would eventually show up at her house and flip out on her! Then of course, someone would have to come get me out of jail. How sad that people can ruin your plans/ wedding without giving it a second thought.

This is just terrible. I have complete faith though that you will get your $$ back and the wrong will be righted.......kharma is a bi*%h....and that company will certaintly face the consequences.....I'm so sorry you had to deal with this so close to the wedding

I am so sorry to hear this. This is the last thing you should be worried about. But believe me, everything will work itself and that company will get what it deserves.

Good idea Abbie. Or we could just drive down there & kick their butts! Jeez- this is insane. This is clearly a federal crime and I hope you have the energy to take this all the way after your wedding.
