Anyone out there thinking about "Rock the Reception"?

We are doing a version of this! We are starting with a traditional first dance and then moving into a meringue! We are taking dance lessons now but keeping it a total secret - CAN'T WAIT!

Holy moly! FI and I were just watching Kath & Kim (new sitcom on NBC) and they did a hip-hop dance at the end and I asked FI if we could do something like that at the wedding and he said....YES! I'm shocked!

 

Where do I start? I'm not a dancer and I don't know anyone who is. I really want to do this but I'm lost.

I was just in a wedding this past weekend where my girlfriend and her boyfriend did this to Michael jackson's "The Way you Make me Feel" and everyone loved it! They took dance lessons and didn't tell anyone. The groom is not really a dancer either, but that just made it more fun to watch. They did a great job!

I wanted to do this but the FI hates to dance so I got a big old no from him. But I did eventually convince him to take lessons to learn an American style Viennese Waltz which his family and friends will still be shocked by. I want the whole thing spins, lifts and all.

I heard this song a long time ago and downloaded it. One day my mom heard and thought it was hilarious and wanted to surprise my aunt with the song at her wedding, but my mom never went through with it.

If I could do this whole rock the reception, I would use this song, so SOMEONE has to!!! haha

It's totally appropriate when you read the lyrics (below) because it is so much about love. And its just a crazy song!!
