If you were turning 30...

If you were turning 30 what would you want for your birthday? FI sister is turning 30 years old this weekend, and we have no idea what to get her. A little info on her: She lives by herself, isnt married (or dating) loves to play softball, and...... works a lot. I know that isnt great info to work from....but she's difficult. Anyways please please please give me some ideas.

My BFF and I are planning for our 30th (next year) to do a all girls weekend or week in Cabo San Lucas. We are inviting our sisters and any girls who would like to go.

 

I would do a spa day or something girly like that

Since she works a lot, I would treat her to something relaxing. I agree with Drea- spa day would be nice. Go together.

i vote for a spa day and some booze. i am going to cry when i turn 30. my DH totally cried on his 30th bday too LOL.

 

i think a girls getaway vacay sounds like a great idea too - even if it's just into the nearest big city for a night in a hotel and a spa day. something thats special and out of the ordinary routine, KWIM?

Boo hoo, I turn 30 in 6 months. All I would want would be a nice night out to dinner with my girlfriends and their men. Dinner and drinks is my absolute favorite thing to do with my girls.

So the gift deffiantly wouldnt be an event or get together. It would just be a gift.

Is there something you could get her for the house? A nice piece of art or something. Maybe a family picture of when she was little and a current family photo.

 

I know that I personally don't really like gifts. I just have so much stuff! (I do apreciate the thought).

 

I think something consumable would be nice. A bottle of wine, concert tickets, a massage, something along those lines.

 

Since she is single and works a lot what about a season of lawn service?

If she works a lot I agree with the girls, a spa day - massage, mani/pedi would be nice Or even a gift certificate to a nice restaurant?

 

For my 30th we planned a trip to Vegas, and Sam proposed! I can't think of a better way to bring in my thirties!

Dont buy her anything that has to do with your wedding (sorry Alyssa), Sometimes people really get annoyed with us brides. We sometimes get besides ourselves and cant think pass it. Get your sister something strictly with her in mind. Ask her what she wants. If she says nothing get her a spa treatment if she likes girly stuff, or a maid for a month, or just treat her to an event or dinner. It appears that she is pretty settled at 30 so she probably doesnt need alot of things.
