Here is the info I got as far as payments:

 

Can we pay for the following items with credit card? what credit cards are excepted? Credit cards accepted are Visa, Master Card and American Express

 

Wedding package - Yes

 

Private reception @ Botafogo - Yes

 

Cocktails at reception - Yes

 

Photographer - Yes, but through the Photo Shop not the hotel.

 

Overhead for slideshow - No, this must be payed in cash on the day of our interview. Rember that this cost is only for the projector and screen, you must bring your own laptop.

 

Extra bouquets & boutiners - Yes

 

Dress steaming - No, must be payed in cash upon request.

 

Also with the caprice package it says that two rose petal bags are included, do I need to get baskets for the rose petals or is that included? The basket is not included but you may choose to use them for the ceremony or as part of the dinner decoration. WE can discuss this in further detail on the day of our interview.

I posted this before but I think you ladies may have missed it....

 

Ladies, I have a question...I haven't heard anything about a shower so far and apparently my best friends mom was suppose to have one for me but I know that no invites have been sent out or anything. (she is upset that I didn't use her travel agent and she has made that clear to me) Also, I have made it very clear that I do not want a surprise for anything to do with the wedding because for some reason I have been very emotional the last few months. Anyway, it does kinda suck when we are paying just as much to have our wedding away as it does to have one here and people do not realize that.

 

Am I being stuck up? I just think that this is my one and only chance to have one and I think I will be upset if I don't get one...

Josie: first off, your Mom is such an angel! I love how involved she is, she seems so great. I LOVE all of your stuff! The monogram you have on your OOT bags is the one I have on our shotglasses! Your wedding is going to look so great. I cannot believe how many people are coming! Definitely the more, the merrier though.

 

Lisa-- wish I could help you out-- I'm not having a shower, I'm not sure if it's because all of my friends live in different places or what. I'm not even going to worry. But I think if you want one you should definitely say something! I'm not sure to who-- but you're right, and this is the last time you'll get to have one. So it should be done

 

Last-- tomorrow is my FIRST wedding dress shopping appointment!!! I have 2 dresses that I love very very much. So tomorrow I get to try the first. Wish me luck please!!

Lisa- I do NOT think you are being stuck up. I would ask someone else if they'd like to help you put together a shower. Maybe your mom or another local friend? If you offer to help it won't seem so burdensome... offer to supply food if she'll supply the location. You're right that this is your one shot for a bridal shower and I think you're more than entitled to it Sorry that you're going through that stress with your friend's mom. Maybe your mom and FMIL would be willing to step up and do it together??

Lisa- you poor girl!!! You TOTALLY deserve a shower and I am sick people are not thoughtful enough to throw you one, especially if you specified you did not want a surprise. My bridal shower is this sunday, and initially I didnt want one, but now I am really looking forward to it. You are such a nice person!!! I am sad Maybe if you can express to your friends, if nothing else, they can put together a post wedding party/shower. Those are my words of wisdom

Josie - I think I am just going to get my makeup done their too and keep my fingers crossed. I was going to buy MAC makeup and get my sister to do it but i don't wear a lot of makeup on a regular basis so I would have a lot of makeup just sitting at my house for special occasions...

 

Thanks for your thoughts on the shower, I didn't really think I wanted one at first but the more I think about it the more upset I feel. I just can't believe that I should have to say anything. I don't want people to think I am being greedy but I have been to everyone's showers so why shouldn't I get my own? I think I may say something to my best friend even though she is not in my wedding party, I just hate putting that on her especially only 4 weeks before the we leave! Would it be weird to have one after the wedding?

i think you too right deserve one and you should get one.your friend maybe has picked up on your emotions and has thought you really did,nt want one.i would either speak to your friend or your mum and tell them out right that you want to do something and ask like kim says will they help you organise something then im sure they will sort it for you.do it tomorrow otherwise you will keep thinking about it then it will be too late.or give me your friends no and i will call her and tell her lol.let us know.
