Linds... I think thats a great idea, go for it :-) I have just been out today and yesterday and bought loads and loads of craft stuff (card, ribbon, lettering, beads etc) as since making my own wedding invites and RSVP's, ive think ive finally found something im actually quite good at.... I have also made my own barefoot sandels and backdrop neckless for my wedding and really have a taste for craft!! Im going to spend this weekend making a few things and see what happens... :-) I have just made an evening acceptance to a friends wedding to match her invites and she was really pleased with it so im going to give it ago as even if nothing comes from it i enjoy doing it :-)

So I think you doing that is an absolutly fantastic idea and hopefully it will florish into something fantastic.... you wont know if you dont try..
Have you done silk/real touch arrangements before? Sorry if ive missed previous post where you may have said this....
From what i can see from reading stuff on here i think you would be great at wedding planning etc

Linds and Nicola- way to go for being creative and crafty ... I give you sooo much credit because that is an area I have very little talent in! Girls like me need girls like you to help them through their weddings I love it!

I have tried silk/real touch flowers and I'm hoping to do more. The only thing that scares me about the flowers is that so many brides aren't 100% sure about what they want and I would hate to make something that they didn't like or if we couldn't get on the same page in terms of the vision, but I guess that's why you can always return/add/subtract flowers etc.

 

Sounds like you have a lot of talent as well! I can't wait to see some of the stuff you have crafted!

Oooh yeah great thought- I would love to see it too! I think it's a great idea Linds, and I'm happy you're getting so crafty V!

I did a few things for our wedding- and it's so much fun!! I may have to get into scrapbooking or something afterwards to keep the crafty juices flowing...

I just hope im not going to be in to much over my head... but i can give it a try and see...

 

The pics i have at the mo are just the practice ones for my invites, these two are the 2 i used (FI liked one i liked the other... so we used both!!) but remember the pix are of the practice ones and id NEVER done anythong like it before... at actual ones were a lot neater (didnt take pictures stupidly) :-)

Nic - the evening acceptance you made looks perfect with your friend's invitation! She must have been thrilled that you could help out!

 

My Mom finally sent out my Save the Dates earlier this week and people are all starting to call/email and tell me how excited they are and that they are definitely coming! Good sign but I won't hold my breath until people actually start booking!!!

Hey girls~ I'm back! We got in late last night so I am not caught up on my sleep yet- but wanted to let yall know I will get started on my review later but if you have any questions ask away.

 

It was perfectI! The resort is amazing and our guests and us couldn't have had a better time! The wedding/set up was just as I had imagined! I already wish we could do it all over again Im gonna make some coffee...wake up... & get started on the review!

Nic- I love the invites and evening acceptance!! They do look really nice. I have to say my eyes were drawn to the evening acceptance because those are my colors, so I might be "borrowing" that look for a potential invite look for us.

 

Paige- Congrats again. Glad to hear everything went well. Looking forward to the review and some pictures I don't feel like I have any questions right away, but will be thinking of some!
