Sammysgirl Im gonna FB friend you:) I cant wait to see your pics! SOO glad to hear everything was great- that really puts my mind at ease!

One question- Did you change into a diff dress for reception? Im just wondering if it will be really hot at Chilis since I think it is open air and I will need to get a short dress to switch into And what is with the forecast? There is a lightning bolt all the way through next sunday- Im hoping they are the kind of small tropical rain storms that last 10 min only?! I told myself I'm not going to look at it again- just hope for beautiful weather!

 

We leave on Wed the 26th, our flight is at 9 Am so we will be there by lunch! Ive got most stuff done- I still need to put first dance and father daughter songs on a cd, as well as some special ceremony songs and fit the oot bags into some sort of suitcase/ crate thing. O and make maracca tags, I ended up ordering organza coral chair bows and Im also bringing raffia fans and sand ceremony stuff. If I knew how to put pics on here I would share them...

 

Samira we will barely miss each other! We check out Sun the 30th and head to Excellence Playa Mujeres for our honeymoon! but you'll be running into some of my guests that are staying through the week. I can't believe you have 55 people and they won't let you have the earlier dinner! Why if you offer to pay do they care you are 5 people short?!

about photographer...I hate to say it but I can NOT find the email anywhere that said we just had the $100 vendor fee! So it lookis like I will be paying the day pass & $200 per camera person! OUCH!!!

 

We are doing our legal ceremony tomorrow!

Hi Paige, its not the num of people, god knows why they wont let us have an earlier dinner and I am even willing few hundred dollars etc. I think they just dont want to close the restaurant early for our private dinner since they want other guests of the resort to be able to eat there.

 

but anyways I am not worrying abt it anymore, we will find sth to entertaintain our guests for 3 hrs :-)

Paige- its your photog staying at the resort at all? If so Rebecca did not bat a lash at me saying a "friend" would be doing our pictures. PS- Rebecca is super sweet but kind if a disaster. I will include this in my review, but for those of you leaving soon I thought I'd give you the heads up. The meeting was super easy and she gave me everything I wanted, but when it came to the wedding day she was literally yapping at me because SHE was running late! She was trying to force me to go down the aisle without the groom there! The groom and GMs were standing inside because it was so facking hot and SHE was 15 minutes late getting to us! Could have been a fluke, but just stay calm and remeber its your day and YOUR ceremony if something like this happens. I just simply told her, you can stand here and blame this on me all you want but the schedule you gave me said to be ready at 3:55 and I was ready at 3:55 and you were not here. I will not walk down the asile until the groom is there. Good luck trying to carry me!

 

I did not wear two dresses for the reception. Chilis wasn't dreadfully hot. If you love your dress, I would encourage you to continue to wear it, otherwise you willl literally be in it for 25 mins.

 

As for the forecast...it is hit or miss. The last 3/4 days of our trip had the lightening bolt and it was on and off rainy, but one of those days at the bolt and it was cloudy in the morning but cleared up by the afternoon. After talking to the staff at the resort they said that you cannot trust the forecast more than 2 days out because it changes so quickly....

I'm not sure about Ael. She was the one who contacted me at first but Rebecca was who I met with and who coordinated my wedding.

 

PS- i never got my chair bows back from her so if you are taking stuff like that and you want them back make sure you ask.
