O my goodness- I just went back through the posts that I had missed over the last two weeks while I've been MIA and can't believe there has been so much drama!

Katie- did you get the dinner menu figured out? That is the first I have heard that our guests can't order off the menu! Also which dinner option did you decide to go with (Im sure I overlooked that somewhere) Probably by the time you get to read this you will already have had the most fabulous wedding ever !! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!

Okay... After reading all the drama with Ael and all the nickel and diming... I'm considering a huge change. I still want my ceremony at the Riu, but I am considering moving my reception off the resort. Anyone hear of any nice beachfront restaurants or have pics?

I have seen posts about the Kool Beach Club with pics and it looks AMAZING!

 

I figure with all the extras I want (I.e $1700 for private room, $25/person for sit down service and $9/person open bar) and extra headaches (not getting to pick my reception time, that store bought looking cake) I might as well put it into a different place that gives more option!

 

Would love to hear any feedback!

Adrienne- I hadn't heard anything about the Kool Beach Club but I just looked it up and it looks amazing! Please let me know what you find out!

Adreinne- that's not a bad idea! I'm still waiting to hear back from Ael but if we dont get the earlier dinner I might consider doing the same! I will email my photographer, a Playa native, and TA and see if he has any suggestions for dinner.

Question for the bride who have already had their wedding. Can you share your thoughts on the food?? And the resturants?? Also were the reservations a total pain? Did you end up eatting meals with your guests? Or did people just do their own thing? I don't want to eat with like 10+ people every night, so do we just let everyone make their own plans??

Hey guys! We are having our wedding reception at KOOL on May 28, 2011. You can have the ceremony there as well if you want - it has to be on the beach. We are probably the only ones who are going to Mexico and don't want to get married directly on the sand! I took at look at it when we were down week before last and we even got to "spy" from the beach on a reception that was taking place.

If you have any questions just let me know and I'll try to answer. I'm working on uploading some pics of KOOL (as well as Wicky's) as soon as I can find the proper cord.

Chloe- I was wonder how they set your tables up for dinner... I think you had around 25-30 guests... I will be having the same amount and am not sure what to do for table centerpieces/decorations, have no clue how they set it up: one big talble or a couple small ones. It would be great to here how you did it and if you had options! Thanks so much for all your input. Your pictures are amazing!
