table inspiration...

i'm hoping you girls can help me!!

 

this is what the standard tables will look like at our reception

 

wedding_dinner (36) pictures from weddings photos on webshots

 

the fruit centerpieces are pretty, but boring...

 

i'm hoping to kinda spruce the tables up a bit but have no idea how to work around those centerpieces...

 

any ideas?

Could you just add some tea lights? Do you have to use their centerpieces

we don't have to use their centerpieces but they're included in our package

and i'm looking to keep my costs down (and not have a ton of things to lug around with us!)

I would place rose petals sporadically on the table closest to the fruit centerpices, and I would do small tea lights surrounding it as well. And I couldn't really tell by the pics but maybe you could include one big candle along with the fruit? I don't know if that would work or not. If it doesn't then I would do rose petals in a color matching one of the main fruits with a couple of tea lights around the fruit centerpiece.

what about adding a cloth runner, either 1 just laying across the table or 2 to make a cross in the middle? you could probably get the fabric for pretty cheap - and it would add a bit of color

The first thing I thought of when I saw your pic was what many others did---table runners. A nice, vibrant colour would look great on the white cloth and compliment the fruit.

table runners and candles were also the first things that popped into my mind... or even just colored table clothes (some hotels offer these for free)

table runners it is! they would look so nice in the turquoise that we're using everywhere else....and ikea has the perfect tealight holders!!

i can totally picture it now!!
