Forget CD's

Hard drives are super cheap these days and so much faster.

 

If you have a newish Mac, there is an automatic backup option called Time Machine, that saves whatevery you are working on all the time. You can go back in time 1 hour, 5 hours, 1 day whatever!

Oh no, that happened to me last month. I was so sad and depressed. Luckily they were able to retrieve all my info. Whew! I hope the same can happen for you. The Geek Squad was pretty awesome and only cost me $100.

That is not cool. I hope they can get everything off of it for you. I am another one that doesn't back things up, but I think I will right now. After all, I still had my old comp set up in another room with plans to get everything off it before getting rid of it, and before I ever got around to it, the mother board went. Thankfully they could pull everything off and put it on a disk for me and only charged $52. You would think that I would learn, but not yet!

Fixing the computer is still a work in progress. But there's a little light at the end of the tunnel, fi has a backup of my files but we're not sure if it will work yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
