HELP!! Im getting married in 11 days and havent picked a picture package

Recommended Posts

Ok I am admittedly NOT a picture person so we didn’t really set a budget for our pictures. Now as the wedding is getting closer I am realizing that how photographs may be a disaster for a few reasons:

1.No real budget so I just kinda told my FI that it will be between $1500 - $2000 (for pictures and video).

2. We are using the PPR photographer. I have only seen their work in the pictures on shutterfly. They sent me the packages to choose from but it doesn’t make sense to me. I am so unclear of what I am actually getting from them. I have went over and over the package and either im dense or it isn’t self-explanatory. I try to email questions and they TRY to answer but the language barrier doesn’t help

3. The video packages: After several emails (on the positive side they are very responsive and nice) they told me that the $450 video only include the bride before the ceremony, the ceremony and then the photo session after and will be edited to 20 -25 min. the $850 video will include all of the events on my wedding day but will be edited to 45 min. the video is very important to me because i want to show it at my AHR on Aug 2nd.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP. has anyone used the photographer at PPR or even PPC. What exactly did you get for the money? I even considered bringing my own photographer and videographer but at this late day and with that small budget I don’t see how i can.

Can you post the links to the packages? Maybe we can figure out what it all means. Also if the video is important to you then I would go with the $850-45 minute one, since you plan to show it at your AHR. And then work from there. Just keep in mind that obviously your photo package will have to be smaller in order to stay within the $1500 range you are looking to spend.

Ok. So I looked at the photo packages, and if your budget is $1500 max and the video is going to be $850, then your best choice would be to get the Package I. This package is the one that costs $500 but if you could possibley manage to slurge an extra $100, I would totally get the Package II (gold). This includes pics from the whole day and for this price you will get 75 pics that are 5X7, 10 pics that are 8x10, and 1 pic that is 12x8.

If you can't spend the extra cash, I would stick with the other package which includes 50 - 5x7 pics, 5 - 8x10 pics and 1 - 12x8 pic. Then I would see about getting a CD with all the pics on it as well as see what that would cost.

Did that help you out at all?
