Hmmmm....never thought of that! Kinda scary if they ever needed to (i just recently had a finger smashed in a door and had to have my grandmas wedding band cut off). We also looked at the tungsten since my FI works out in the field and it would be a mess within a week, and he is totally against having any "bling" on his ring.... Price was around $350. The downside to me was that we were told we cant engrave his band if we go with tungsten.....

My FI LOVES his ring and it was only $100. He picked out a titanium ring - he didn't want any diamonds and he didn't like any of the gold ones. I think his favorite part is how light it is. Engraving was included in buying a new ring too so $100 was my total.

I'm a guy, and like most guys, jewelry is not something I think about. I told my wife to be that I didn't want a ring I had to worry about or anything shiny or anything I really had to worry about if I lost it.

I work out everyday and am always active and doing work around the house so I didn't want to worry about having to take it off or ruin it.

I ended up getting a $90 Tungsten ring at a local jeweler and couldn't be happier with my decision. I found the SAME EXACT ring on line for $350.00.

On a side note, when I was looking for rings I went to the same jewelry store in 2 different towns and one was asking $300.00 more than the other for the same ring. Point is shop around because jewelers will mark things up a lot!

You can't cut off tungsten but there are other ways to get it off. It can be smashed off or you could use a pair of vise grips and it will snap in two. (You can YouTube it) Bottom line is that tungsten is a pretty popular metal now and I'm 100 percent certain hospitals would know how to get it off.... Don't you think?

Yes you can, you just have to have it laser engraved. I did that with FI's here: Custom Laser Pen Engraving : Engraved on Paladium : Engraving Etching : Jewelry Engravers : Wedding Rings : Titanium : Laser Engraving Services : Engraving Tag

Took less than a week, they were awesome!

my soon-to-be hubby will be sporting a simple but gorgeous 8mm Ritani band. i think it was about $1,200. decided not to spring for the platinum ($2k-$3k) and got palladium. i picked it up a few weeks ago and it looks great! can't wait to put it on his finger for good!
