beaded string/wire thingy on invitations

Hi girls,

 

let me try to explain this one.... I want to make my invitations and have a little beaded wire/string thingy at the top, with a star fish in the middle. I am wondering how this is attached to the invitation, and what does the back look like? I am tempted to go to a scrapbook store and ask or see if Michael's has a class coming up, but I thought I'd check with the pros (that's you guys wink.gif first smile159.gif
