Flowers in floating water

I really like that first one you posted Amy with the purple flowers. The tall vases give a really cool effect too. I may have to look into this. Do you use fake or real flowers? Sorry if that's a dumb question.

they look like white Phalaenopsis Orchids Catalina Silk Flowers - Silk Orchids - White Phalaenopsis Orchid Stem

 

To keep them from floating you can either place the whole stem in the vase, if its too light, maybe try adding river rocks or somehthing of the sort to hold the stem in place.

 

Or, what I did was use curly willow and individually tied each flower onto the orchid.. it was a pain but I tried it with fresh mini orchids PITA!
