Flowers in floating water

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever done either a single floating flower in a small little roud vase (the kind that look like small fishbowls) or a couple of small flowers floating in the vase? I'm thinking for my centerpieces I would like to try doing a single flower floating in water, with small tea light candles surrounding the outside. I'm wonder what would be a good flower to use. I know orchids look beautiful with this kind of look but I'm guessing that would be so expensive. For the cabo brides how much does a single orchid cost?

I think that sounds beautiful. I might have to steal the idea to add to my tables.

Here is the quote I received from the flower cart regarding orchids....

If you want the pink cymbidiums added to the tables they are $ 12.00 each blossom. The other option is the smaller dendrobium orchids but there are 5-6 blossoms per stem and the cost is $ 10.00 per stem.

Maybe I'll try this idea this weekend with one of the fake orchids I bought.
