FREE puzzles for you OOT Bags

I'm just going to print each puzzle on a 5x7 piece of cardstock that I trimmed in our wedding colors and put one of our monograms at the top. The front will be one puzzle and on the back will be the solution for that puzzle. I'm not going to bind them, since it's cardstock, it will be heavier and won't fall over in the bag. Wal-Mart has cardstock for under $5 for 150 sheets of 8.5x11. I'll trim them down with the paper cutter at work. We bought the cheap white cardstock for these puzzles, the STD (since the whole image is going to be in color) and newsletters, place cards, table cards, menu's, programs. The invites will be done on colored cardstock from an online vender...

Just wanted to give you ladies an update - I completed my puzzle books and they turned out really cute. The cover was printed on white card stock and said "Poolside Puzzles" with our monogram below. Then I printed puzzles on the front and back side of 3 pieces of regular copy paper. I folded the pages in half to make a little book and then punched a hole in the spine at the top and bottom of the page. I used some pretty sheer pink ribbon and tied it on the side. I will post pictures if I get a chance to take some - we are leaving for Cabo in the morning and are taking a ton of our OOT bag stuff down with us now so that we don't have to bring it in July - our house looks like a bomb hit it - everything is everywhere!

I was thinking of creating a puzzle book as well. Only, i was going to give it to my guests in the plane...complete with a personalized pen with our wedding date on it. That way, they can do it in the plane.

I was going to have a crossword in there....but use clues from the guests lives. That way, they have to talk to one another to get the answers. (Great way for everyone to get aquainted.)

I was going to create cryptograms that are messages from the bride and groom. A thank you letter basically.

As well as word search in spanish. (With english beside it.)

Perhaps a puzzle that tells how my FI and i met. Things like that.

good idea! I bought keychain size suduko and rubix cube games from Oriental Trading, but this would be good too. I have lots of guests that don't want to do any excursions so this would be something to do while sitting by the pool. I was also thinking of giving everyone a little book, something inspirational maybe...

I love puzzles and this is a great idea to include in the OOT bags. You could do one about the resort where you're staying - names of restaurants, bars, etc.

Hi girls! I LOVE the idea of a custom puzzle book!

 

Does nayone have a template they could share with me? I'm new to this DIY stuff but I LOVE the creativity with it. If someone had a template, i'd be happy to run with it and then post whatever I can come up with!!

If you have pictures or even a file that would be great! Also, I love that you did a half book -- one sheet of paper folded in half. That's the perfect size!!! How did you set your puzzles up (in word or publisher or what) to print 2 on a page properly centered to be folded?
