Stories of bride and groom only wedding

I was wondering if anyone has had just the two of you at your wedding would share their stories. Pros, cons, regret, no regret?

No one? Im really leaning towards this. I really just think with what my FI and I have been through in our relationship, having such an intimate ceremony will be the icing on the cake. I keep going back and forth though, so Im not sure truly what I want.

Jarrod and I are going alone (all his idea). At first I wasn't so sure but it doesn't bother me now. His parents and my dad seem to understand so it's cool. When we return, we are having a huge party to celebrate with everyone here at home.

I think lambert and karen(?) did it alone... Maybe he or she will come around.

My FI and I are the only ones that will be at our DW. Unfortunately, we have some family members who aren't being supportive of our decision. We both feel that it's OUR day and we will be the only ones to remember the details of it forever, so we want to do what makes us happy. Good luck to you both in whatever you decide!

I would love to have done that FI refused he has to have his mother there - even though she is a bitch from hell and will do her best to ruin it lol

Do any of you have siblings? I think that is whats making it hard. I have 3 sisters, they were step sisters, but legally became my sisters in the last year. We have become pretty close in the last year or two, and it would be nice to have them there.

We're all different, and we're all close do different people in our lives. If you feel in your heart that you want to go alone then go alone. If you are having regrets already and wondering if it's the right thing, then you may want to consider just having a very very small intimate wedding. We are having his parents, my parents, our siblings, and a few very close friends. Ours is small and intimate, but it was still very important to have our familes there. The choice is yours

Yep, Jason & Karen Lambert did it alone and it was awesome. I'm sure they will see this and share. There is something really special about just the two of you, and I also think that decision depends on where people are in their lives, you know?
