I LOVE SPANX! They have been a lifesaver for me under certain dresses that are clingy fabric (and with jeans and tighter shirts where you don't want any bulges over top!). They can definitely get hot so I'm thinking that if i need to wear them at all for the wedding it will be for pictures and the ceremony and then off they come! :)

Some Spanx have a line down the middle that in very sheer fabrics (like certain wedding dresses) you'll be able to see and other more expensive pairs are totally seemless...just keep an eye out for what you're buying and what you need. Also, I find I am true to size based on the charts so go figure?!

i will definitely wear them during ceremony & pictures, but then i'm letting it all hang out at the reception! haha
i think you didnt read both our posts correctly ---

the assets need to be bought at either the correct size according to the package or one size smaller (depending how uncomfortable you are willing to be), but the spanx i have bought one size up because the size according to the package for me is always too tight and feels like its cutting off my circulation. i am 5'2" and 138 pounds (so not a skinny minnie) but i have never ever had a problem with either assets or spanx rolling up on me at all.

yes. assets are fantastic! i have heard that they are a little more "giving" than spanx, and are made by the same designer sarah something i think... Maura is right on- i bought the size the package suggested and it was fine. i wear them to work on a very regular basis and they are comfortable. but from what i have read, spanx are less forgiving and far less comfy. forget what Oprah says, try the half-price assets- buy your size and see what you think. i can handle them for 9+ hours of work before they get uncomfortable (and remember that is without any champagne...)

i wore assets under a casual dress from 9 am until 8 pm today and was totally fine wink.gif

and FYI, yes both assets and spanx were designed by sarah blakely. she was a sorority sister of mine (but she was at a different chapter than me) which is why i know so much about her - our alumni newletter has featured her several times

I have some Spanx and love them. They are surprising comfortable but can get a little hot. I haven't experienced the "rolling" thing that some girls are talking about.

I ordered mine off of HSN of all places..the woman who took my order took my weight, height, etc and figured out what size I needed. It probably helped that someone told me what size to get, she was right on.

i have worn them and what i learned is the trick is to get AT LEAST 1 size bigger so they don't roll or get too tight.

i am not wearing them for my wedding b/c i can't stand the feeling of pantyhose or restrictive undies and i want to be super comfy so i just made sure to buy a dress that looked good without any undergarments!
