Hi Karen,

 

Welcome to the forum. It looks like our paths will cross at the Catalonia Riviera Maya. My fiance and I are getting married there on November 25th so we'll be just days before your son and daughter-in-law-to-be. We've decided to have a private reception at the Pure Chill Out Bar - Morgan has posted some great pictures of the set up there. We're going to pick the grill dinner menu (on the banquet information that Morgan posted) and we've been told that the dinner price includes the exclusive use of the Pure Chill Out bar, bar service, decoration of the bar and buffet set up. A DJ and/or background music is extra.

 

Good luck with your planning and feel free to compare notes with me since we'll both be planning at the same time.

it looks like they changed the name of the looky bar to pure chill out bar. it's a bar, not a restaurant but they will set up a reception dinner there.

That name threw me. I did check in to that and it is quite expensive considering that we are already all-inclusive. We now have 22 people going. My son and his fiance love the looks of it though.

I would love to compare notes. Are your plans all set for the reception? Also, did you get an upgrade for your room? We have 22 people going. I'm not sure if there is anything else we should be doing at this point. We have been to the resort so we are somewhat famalier with the surroundings.
