For our group contract we set up a room block, then they created a web link for our guests to go and book. Any guest that books through that link, we get the credits for it. You can get a report from Yesenia, or your Miami contact with a report of who has booked. If they book through a travel agent, you have to add them to your guest list, but their room nights do not count towards the credit system unfortunatley. You can always RE-activate the link, our link is still working and its technically past the book date that Palace allowed us. They just release all of the rooms in your room block to the general public, so for your guests its first come, first serve, BUT they should be able to still book through that link! I would definitly ask what they can do about it, possibly give you half credit for the ones who didnt book through the link? I have gotten what I have asked for, because I preach that I am bringing them guaranteed business and money to their resort by having my wedding there.

Yes we had a bar at the welcome dinner at the Spa Terrace.  They just set it up with tables and white clothes but it looked nice.  The bar was built in at the Solarium Mundaca for the wedding reception so we didn't need to worry about that.

Do you plan on having alcohol at your wedding reception?  If so, then a bar is required.  Not sure what the price was.  Should be on the paperwork somewhere.  Sorry my memory sucks and I don't have my usb key that has all my wedding stuff on it.  Maybe someone else can comment on the price.

Here is the pic of my welcome cocktail at pandero. I was very disappointed when I first saw it without the 'roof', but I was happy I had it there.  They did end up adding another umbrella for us because of the sun, but it all depends on the time you are there.

If you do it as a private event as a cocktail hour, the bar, tables, cocktail menu & basic linens, should be included all in that private event. You can confirm with the wedding coordinator, but we are doing a private dinner and private cocktail hour, and menu & bar are both included.

A few of us BDW brides are meeting at the Spa Lobby Bar on Monday, April 30th between 5:30 - 6 p.m.

We thought it would be fun to get together for a quick drink after chatting and sharing on the website.

I will put a small sign on the table that says BDW brides!

Please join us if you can!

What time of day were you there Jess?  I'm wondering if I should request extra umbrellas now.  Our cocktail party doesn't start until 6pm.  What do you think?

Our cocktail party was at 5pm.  I would say you will probably be ok at 6pm in May.  I wouldn't worry too much about it.  Our WC was there the WHOLE time, so she was the one who brought them over when she noticed we were all gathering under the one lol.  You can definitely tell them to be on the lookout for it if you are worried about it!

We chose the saxophone player, a live musician came with our wedding package. I chose some really pretty Latin music for him to play. Just heard back from Karime yesterday that he's able to play what we've chosen.  So happy!
