Wow that is crazy. I sent La Luna an e-mail and they sent me their price list and its not even close to what you are paying for the 4 hours.  Thanks for the information, I'm going to do some homework. BTW - Love the brochure and luggage tags.

I am using Octavio Montes...he is the most affordable photog that I have come across (I'm paying $1050 for 4 hrs of wedding day coverage and 2 hrs of TTD -- which includes 145 prints and a CD of all photos taken).  I honestly couldnt afford any of the above photogs or I might have gone with them instead.  I have heard nothing but amazing things about working with Octavio, so I am sure I will be more than happy with him!

J-me - thanks so much for the information.  I have the same situation. I've cut corners and have really watched my budget big time all most in everything thus far, but from day one I've always wanted to splurge with photograhpy.  You are soo right at the end of the days thats all you really have to show for.  Memories are one thing, but pictures can last a lifetime, especially in this day an age where you get your pictures on a CD. You don't have to worry if ever you have a natural disaster or fire losing pictures. Technology has come a long way.  I'm going to do some homework, because you are right its not an easy decision.  I've gone on a few of these websites for the vendors you mention and their work is very impressive.  I'll keep you ladies posted on what I go for in photographer.  You all have been very helpful.

Thanks.

For us, pics are one of the most important things that will last well beyond the dress, the cake, decorations, etc...so after MUCH research (picking the photographer was one of the most difficult decisions!), we booked them. Juan Jose is VERY talented, but he's the least expensive of the Del Sol pros because I believe he's the newest to their team....others I looked at & loved: Elizabeth Medina (comparable price to Del Sol), La Luna (any of them are great, but I esp. like Rachel's work and it's less pricey than Del Sol), Juan Navarro (very reasonably priced), Ivan Luckie (LOVE him and also reasonably priced), and Sascha Gluck (again, with the good price). I was torn too, esp. when factoring in cost, but just take your time and look through the galleries of your top picks until you feel confident in a decision. I'm sure you'll love whoever you pick - best of luck!!

Sooo I just got assigned to Cristina Suarez as the on-site wedding coordinator!! I was excited to get this ball rolling, but nervous at the same time...

Runcol, I remember you saying that you were having problems with her and bringing decorations.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has experience with her and what it was like?? I want the good, the bad, and the ugly...I just want to know what to expect!

We had our cocktail hour on the Cove Terrace, which is beautiful, but halfway thru we got moved inside b/c of the bugs...it was no big deal and still wonderful....the Pandero Terrace is very beautiful too, it juts out onto the water and is gorgeous...the things to consider are how many ppl you have (we had 52 and the Pandero doesnt hold that many) and what time of day your cocktail hour is going to be b/c their is no shade on the pandero so if its when the sun is shing bright your guest might be roasting ;)

Nicole -

About the bugs....

Was this something you noticed every night while you were there or did it just happen to be your wedding day?  I was debating between Cove Terrace and the Solarium Mundaca.  Wondering if the bugs will be an issue anywhere outside.

My photographer is Gonzalo Nunez and he will be there for 10 hours wedding day and then a TTD photo shoot the day after. He is also giving us all of our photos edited and in high res. I would check him and his packages out also.
