Another question about Cake..

Ok, I think I have changed my mind about a million times on my cake. I'm still doing individual cakes, but because I'm trying to cut back on my budget I'm thinking of ways to save where ever I can. SO I purchased some fake P. (something) orcids, (they look awesome and real) SO I was going to put one on each cake. (I think) so I was wondering, would you just leave it at one P. Orchid on each cake or add a starfish candy to the top as well? I still haven't decided if I want the cake white or choc. I just wish I knew someone who could draw up a picture of many different designs so that I could see what it looked like..

Hmmm about 3-4 inchs, they range in size.

Tammy, are the cakes like cupcakes? Sorry, I haven't gotten this far yet with my planning, and i'm thinking of doing cupcakes instead of one big cake...maybe even just a candy bar....

Nope, their actually individual cakes. either a single layer or one tier. I really like the look of the one tier but they are 25.00 each, so I'm more then likely going to go with the single layer. They are about 5-6 inches round and about 3 inches high (from what I remember when I seen them)

Tammy I think the flower would be just fine on the top! Plus you already have them and then it is one less thing you have to worry about! You could be done with your cakes. Where did you get your flowers from?

If I were you, given the size of the cake and the flower, I would just do a flower on top and skip the candy....sometimes less is more.

Yeah,, I just wonder if one flower would look to bare on the top... what about a pretty starfish candy laying up against the side of the cake and then the flower on the top?

Maybe you could bring the orchids and the candies and then you could make a last minute decision before the cakes are placed on the table.

 

It's hard to picture exactly what it is going to look like. Sorry, I'm not much help.
