Drea....my BFF is an event coordinator. She worked (actually still works) for a wedding planner as an intern for like X hours (can't remember), just to earn the hours, not for pay. Amy, that's a great idea....my only issue is that no district will want to hire me because I will be 6 months pregnant and will need at least 6 weeks off in November/December. I really shouldn't say they wont, because in our field where it is mostly women, I think they expect women to take maternity leave, right?

OH Martha please do, also if she wants you can give her my email and phone number, I'll PM them to you if she feels comfortable talking to me. I would love to go into that field, I feel very comfortable and capable to go into that field. My friends and family are encouraging me to look into that field too.

I will tell you that she is SUPER busy and works A LOT. But, if she and her DH plan on going on vacation somewhere, she just makes sure she doesn't schedule a wedding that week. Which is hard because she may have a wedding every weekend for 3 months straight. She has a busy seasons and then not-so busy seasons.

 

I am sure she will be more than happy to help you!

I work from home. I work for a Financial Public Relations Firm. Actually, our whole company telecommutes. I've worked with my boss previously, when I contacted him a few months ago asking to use him as a reference, he asked if I was interested in working for him. I do get lonely though...so I picked up a part time job working nights and weekends at a local department store.

 

In the past I have sold Pampered Chef. You can make a pretty decent amont of money if you schedule parties and you schedule parties when you want to. A friend of mine does Partylite. Any other at home party sales thing can be fun. And if you like and use the products, it's not really sales. I don't do Pampered Chef anymore, but I still "sell" their products just because I use and love them.

I'm the toughest boss i've ever had, and i'm kickin my own butt. it's HARD WORK!!!

BUT, i love it. Still learning to balance things out - need a little time for me and my hubs-to-be, the thing that sucks is you can't just hang out at home or else you feel guilty for not working, so we're ALWAYS working

 

My mom (56yrs)and sister (27 yrs with a 2 yr old) both do Mary Kay and make a living on it, i'm so proud of those lil pink ladies

 

Follow your dreams, your calling, what makes you happy, and you will be happy. You can do anything.

Thanks guys....I couldn't sell anyone anything. I am horrible at stuff like that!

 

I would love to do counseling....I wonder how I could get in to something like that? I will have to look around!
