Who has heard from a WC at dreams cancun?/Questions & answers thread

i am startting this thread as i see that we are all having problems getting in contact with the WC's my wedding is in 3 and a half weeks and i nned some answers on a few things but no response. Claudia did put me at ease when i went down for my site visit but now that im so close and have a few questions im panicing a little bit so i thought that we all could get together and write our questions down and if any one actaully gets some good communication started that they could ask questions for all of us.

 

So a few of my questions

 

!

1. is it too windy for tea lights on the reception table if it is in the lobby?

 

2.Can i use the new food menu that just came out since i booked b4 it was out?

 

3.How do the day passes work, i dont want my few guest that are not staying at the resort to have any problem getting in on the wedding day

If it's any help I had an email from her yesterday confirming my ceremony time and where the reception was, I said thanks and got one back saying you're welcome by return lol

 

I'd start hassling her if you are worried.

 

Can't answer no 1

No 2 not sure she sent me the menu ages ago and i've had to pick that for 2009 - can't see why it would be a problem tho

 

No 3 she added the day passes on to my contract and said i'd have to pay for them- i said no way they were paying for them and could pay when they got there

 

Not sure if thats more hinderance than a help tho sorry

I don't have any answers.... but i just wanted to pipe in and say that i have been emailing and calling for a week and have yet to hear back. I expressed in my messages that I want to book a site visit and book a date ASAP - but still nothing.

ok so in a previous post I said that Gaby had been getting back to my emails right away that lasted maybe 5 emails..so I def spoke too soon!! I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble. I would buy a phone card and call the resort!! I have only gotten through once and that was on a Monday I called them at 9:30 their time. I would start hassling them!! I'm sorry I can't really answer any of your questions...but just in case I sent your questions in an email to gaby, if I hear from her I will def. let you know! Take care

Daniella had told me that for the day passes she would need a list of the peoples names who would need them. Now of course this was before she left and all. and I agree I am not paying for them so I was assuming if I gave them a list that when they got to the resort they would just pay the fee and get in.

Sorry you've had some trouble-

I've been emailing with Gaby regularly for a few brides and haven't had any problems with a quick reply- in fact heard from her on Friday with questions and changes on contracts that were requested on Wednesday!

 

Good luck as I am sure you'll get an answer eventually- they are there and working!

I FINALLY got Gaby from Dreams on the phone this morning! (I had to go thru the concierge and call back twice to do it)... but she said that she would reserve MAY 17th for me (YAY!). Now I just need to wait for her to email me the Q&A and contract stuff I guess. My big concern now is I want to arrange a site visit asap and the prices I am getting online seem so high . Ahe also didnt seem to know anything about a discount for a site visit & I was sort of counting on that.

Honestly I don't know - I didn't think they did but I could be wrong - sorry
