I'm working on getting the choices narrowed down! Its so hard to do b/c I want to get a great site, but we can't afford to do a site visit, so its just kind of a toss-up until we actually get there! How is your search going?

Its going. We are suffering from the same problems. We are starting to lean more towards Moon Palace b/c our family (not us) has been there several times and they have nothing but good things to say about the food/location/grounds/staff. I'm still leary about the beach though. So I guess we havent gotten any further. I've been going crazy reading posts saving pics and all that fun stuff! Have you narrowed down the resorts or are you still considering everything?

Well, I'm mostly looking at the Riviera Maya now- I like the ease of getting to Cancun, but Cancun seems so commercialized, and, as silly as this may sound- I'd really like to do a trash the dress session at one of the ruins w/ cenotes and such, but I don't want that to be a 2 hour drive (one way) from the resort we are staying at- talk about a long day! So right now the only Cancun resort I'm thinking about is Dreams Cancun, and they fill up quick on dates, so I don't know!

 

I'm looking at the Barcelo resorts in Puerto Aventuras quite intensely at the moment, as well as the Catalonia Riviera Maya (though their rooms don't look quite as nice). I am also thinking about the Dreams Puerto Aventuras that will be opening later this year. I'm leery since it hasn't opened yet, but I've heard nothing but good things about the Dreams resorts, and their beach looks nice, so we'll see. Good luck!
