i think the decision is about what you want to do on the vacation. we are riviera maya people. we loved the ruins, jungle, cenotes, snorkeling, kayaking, etc. we spent very little time laying on the beach & were in bed early so we didn't need a night life.

Damn! I thought this was a fight thread between Cancun brides and Riviera Maya brides. Two resorts enter, one resort leaves...there can be only one Highlander.
