I had the same issue, I tried to book in Jan 2008 for my May 2009 wedding & they would't let me book or hold a date until about 10 months out.

Single room $2309, double room $1999, triple room $1909, quad room $1869, kids age 2-12 $1449

Maximum occupancy 4 in a room

Two weeks - $2939

If you can't stand waiting for a date confirmation via e mail you can just call. We sent an e mail requesting our date and we couldn't wait any longer for a response. We got a hold of one of the WC's and she put us in the book.

I got married at the Palace in January. I don't have any experience with the resort photographers. I brought one of my own. You don't have to sneak them in, they don't care at all. My photographers went everywhere with me, but they were also staying at the resort. Here is their link if you are interested:

JLC, my fi and I haven't paid our nights stay yet to confirm the wedding date. We also got quite high rates from our TA, something like $1800 with taxes. I know that most of our family/friends will not be able to afford that, we can hardly afford that! So we're not totally sure what we're going to do right now. The WC at Barcelo told us that we couldn't CONFIRM the date until our trip is paid.

Does anyone know when the 2010 packages will be out? And do we have six months AFTER they are released to confirm or does it have to be confirmed as soon as the 2010 packages are released? Thanks!
