Reading this thread royally pisses me off. What kind of a sick f*$^ does this?! I hope all the dogs get better and they find whoever did this. They better get jail time!

I cannot agree more - who in their right mind could hurt an animal? An animal that has done NOTHING to you! It doesn't make any sense.

 

I heard this morning on Canada AM that they (authorities) have also found deceased wildlife whom have been affected by the antifreeze (Squirrels and a Raccoon)

 

Terrible. Whomever did this should be forced to drink antifreeze themselves.

A similar situation was happening here in Regina for the past few summers. I don't think they have an off-leash area in Wascana Park, but birds and dogs were dying throughout the summer.

 

They figured out someone was lacing items with stricknide and leaving them all over the park. They never did catch the person(s) who did it, but I think this is the first summer (out of my 5 spent here) that no incidents have happened.

 

Even people who had their dogs on leashes had to be careful, if they turned their backs on their dog for a second and he wolfed something down...

 

A former co-worker had a fundraiser for her niece last year because both of her huskies got poisoned and the vet bill was something like $2000!

 

Crazy, I don't know why people would do this. If you don't like dogs, go somewhere else to take a walk.
