History was made when Jamaica’s first year-round resort - and first beach resort - opened in 1949. Tower Isle Hotel became an instant landmark and a haven for movie stars and famous celebrities in the 1950s and 1960s.

 

Recognizing a market gap in the tourism sector, owner Abe Issa charted a new course for the resort by introducing a new concept in 1978: The first all-inclusive resort for couples only. The resort was aptly renamed Couples Ocho Rios.

 

From 1978 to 2008, Couples Ocho Rios has enticed tens of thousands of romantically inclined couples to experience her Old World charm and world-class service.
