ORRR he can just NOT spend any more money on her and realize she is a gold digger and move on to a woman who will love anything he provides for her because she loves him

thats what i say wink.gif
That's what I told him but not the part where he should dump her, the part where he shouldn't spend more money and should just tell her to keep it and wear it. I told her that too.
But like I said, not my business, I'm not the one marrying him or her.

I think most people who are superficial like this girl is; where they make their decisions based on what they get out of it, and constantly want their partner to jump thru monetary hoops; all of them are doing it because that's the only way the measure "love" from people.

My daughter's former "mother" was like this lady. The only time Audrey received any affection or praise from this monster was when she dressed Audrey up in "perfect little outfits" and treated her like a clothes-horse. When I first met this woman, she talked more about the way she dressed Audrey in, than about Audrey herself.

To this day, Audrey associates money with love. She doesn't like to do anything that doesn't involve spending money. She simply can't understand the joy of just DOING something, like going to free concerts in the park, or window-shopping, etc.... it takes a lot of effort to 'undo' these damages.

It's really sad.... I really don't understand people like this and it takes a lot of patience to not be a bitch to them; but coming across people like this really makes me want to shit-kick their parents for raising them that way....

I was so excited that Will was down on one knee...not to mention fighting back the eyeballs full of tears and shaking hands...I didn't even see the ring at first.

Of course I love my ring because it is beautiful (I haven't seen many diamonds...no matter what shape or size...that aren't beautiful) but I was so excited about spending the rest of my life with the man of my dreams and soulmate that the bling didn't even matter! :) It was more like icing on a already wonderful cake!

so Drea, in regards to your sister. I would think that if FI proposed with a ring that was really not my style at all, i would feel a little like OMG how does he not know me or my style?

so I wonder if it's not just materialistic, but maybe that she's hurt that he didn't pick something more along her tastes?

on people asking the size of a diamond. my god get some class.

my ex roommate flat out asked me how big my diamond was as well. who does that?

LMAO that's hilarious.
I have had a lot of people say have you had that appraised?! Or yeah it's beautiful but is it real? WTF?! Even if it wasn't (which it is) what the F is it to them?!

Becks, that is a hilarious answer! Too bad I've always been self-conscious about my chubby fingers and it would be like telling someone my weight. I even got a thinner band so that it didn't bulk up my finger any more than it naturally is. Good work, though.

I was racking my brain after posting the last time thinking I know there is something lurking that i need to say lol I now remember!!

The engagement ring I got for my first wedding was absolutely vile lmao it was one of his mothers (that didn't help) and he kept banging on about how it was 18ct and a fab ring and it was awful but I stil wore it lmao when we went to look for wedding rings he kept saying yes we need 18ct!! i should have known then not to do it lmao

Anyway the woman in the shop took my ring and said sorry its 9ct I thought I was going to pee myself laughing lol he wasn't too happy lmao when I finally left the best feeling I had was here have the minging ring back and give it back to the old witch lmao

so even though it was vile I still wore it because I had got it off him - its what you have to do lol and if its really that bad you can ditch it when you get your wedding ring lol
