Is the moon looking bigger than normal?

I forgot too, but I was driving west back home and there it was...a big ol'moon.

LOL, I went out last night just with the intent of photographing this "huge" moon. It was big, but I was pretty disappointed. I did get a few shots, but not many. Nothing worth bragging about, it wasn't nearly as big as I had anticiptated.

 

But it was very red when it first came up.
