Wedit is a company that basically sends you 5 flip video cameras so you can have one and pass them out to other guuests to get video of things normal videographers might miss.  You mail these back to the company and they download all the video and you can edit it into your own video....

Depending on the package..they can also make a wedding video for you....I think they are $499, $699 and $999

1) Did you pay to feed your photographer(s)? How does that work? Since I am using a Mexico based photographer for 5 hrs... I am not sure what to do. I am planning to ask him but wanted to see others did first. Any suggestions?

2) How long did you guys take pictures between the ceremony and reception? An hour? two hours? How long is enough to take all the pictures you need?

3) How early should you get your hair & makeup done? My ceremony starts at 530pm... I hear it takes about an hour to do the hair. An hour before the ceremony? What's a good time?

1)  Since we brought our photographers with us, we did pay for their meals.  I'm not sure what I would've done if we used a Mexican photographer but I think it is customary to provide a meal for the photographer.

2)  Our wedding was scheduled to start at 3 but started around 3:30 and was over around 3:50.  The reception was scheduled for 4:30 but we didn't get it started until around 5 because we were still taking pictures.  We took pictures for about an hour but that felt rushed so I'd say anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours is enough time.

3) I would say start everything as early as possible.  My ceremony was scheduled for 3pm and I started getting ready at 9am and was still late!  My MOH started my hair at 10 (I had a weave done).  She finished that around 12.  Then I got my eyelashes done which took about 45 minutes to an hour.  I then left the room and went to the spa to get a polish change.  That took an hour and 15 minutes.  I got back to the room at 2:15 and still had to get my hair styled, make-up done and get dressed.  We finally walked out the room at 3:20.  So all that to say while it seems like nothing should really take a long time, everything takes longer than it normally does on your wedding day.  So for a 5:30 ceremony I'd say you should get started no later than noon.

Us women have it so bad. The day before our wedding there was another wedding at 4pm.  The groom and groomsmen from that wedding were in the pool taking shots with us until 3:15.  There's absolutely no way we could get ready for a wedding in 45 minutes!!!!

A question to past brides:

Did anyone qualify for the Bride and Groom Stay free promotion and if so how long did it take you to get your refund?  My TA originally told me 10 days from the time we get back.  It's now day 19 and the last I heard was that she's "working on it."  I'm really getting irritated with her because it seems that now that the wedding is over her response time and the energy she seems to be putting out is really lacking.  If I don't get a reply today I think I'll contact her manager.

Well, just wanted to say that renting the flip videos is an AWESOME idea and I so wish I'd known about it for our wedding!  We had two family members filming for us and both turned our really sub par.  We would've had a much better chance at getting something good with 5 of them out there.  And those are bargain prices!

I can't help with the BGSF because we only had 12 rooms.  But I can tell you that my TAs response time really plummeted after we got back.  She's still great and takes care of getting me what I need, but it's certainly not on the same timeline as before.  I think current weddings take priority, LOL.

are we allowed to use a mexico photographer(not on their list) if we pay the 500??

i read somewhere that the outside photog cannot be mexico based?

but then i saw weddings with mexico photogs, like elizabeth medina

also, who are their photogs?  caribe, matias  and claudia?  some ppl are saying shes on, others say she's not.

Thanks a bunch!

Caribe and Matias are the two officially approved that you don't have to pay the fee for.  It seems they can't make up their minds on whether or not to allow other Mexican nationals in as photographers, but the last few months they've been allowing it.  Meredith had great advice: tell them what you want and don't take no for an answer!

That's my one main concern too with the idea.  Although my mother vows she will take it as her carry on and protect it with her life.  hahaha.

I LOVE pottery stuff. I used to go paint potteries for fun... haha!!! We are just worry about possibly breaking it. I will CRY my eyes out if I see that thing broke when we get home. but I LOVE the idea. We really need to think about this.

One of the main good things about being a lawyer is I will never have jury duty.  hahahaha.  Hope you enjoyed it.  wink.gif  (At least it was a relatively short trial).
