I've been home in Calgary for an extended long weekend. We had our AH Engagement party on Thursday night, most of our friends and family made it which was great. Unfortunately my FI's parents didn't. Dispointing but not surprising.

I got a lot accomplished with my mum. We found a tiara! I think I might start wearing it every day and I would be awesome! LOL

I have my something borrowed. My mum is trusting me with her pearls and earrings. They are fab! I was going to try to make my own with fresh water pearls from a bead store but this is just that much more special now.

We also hit a Michael's looking for idea's for centre pieces. Still not sure what I want to do here.

Then I was crazy enough to get a few of my tattoo's touched up - OUCH!!!

I can pretty much sum this weekend up to Tiara's & Tattoo's! Now that's a classy bride! LOL

Amy, your invites are absolutely gorgeous! That must be a huge weight off your shoulder finally getting them done.

I finally found some shoes! I hate shoe shopping because I can never find shoes that fit me. I wear size 3 kids....usually can't find heels in that size, let alone white satin shoes! Size 5's sometimes fit, but not usually. I looked all over. I was at the point where I wasn't going to be picky at all....as long as they were ivory, or white satin so I could dye them, I would be fine with them. I found one pair of shoes, size 5 that fit but they were $670! I think they were Jimmy Choos (sp?). Finally got told to go to Celebrations in Toronto and they actually had a couple pairs that fit! I will take a photo of them and post a picture. They are ivory and have a huge heel (I never wear heels cuz I have a bad back and can't usually find heels to fit) but I talked to a shoe maker and he said he can probably reduce the heel, so I might do that. They were $250, so a little expensive, but I dont think I could have found anything cheaper that would have fit. I'm so relieved I finally found some!!

You could order from Duosheng and I think there is a rush option but it's more expensive. I agree with Amy and Lindz, Nordstroms & Bloomingdales are really good options.

Thank you!! They are so much fun, just be prepared that you will have to come up with a lot of information, that was the toughest part for me. I'm an annoying perfectionist though so it shouldn't take as long as it took me.

The only way I figured out what to do with my centerpieces was searching online places like The Knot or WeddingChannel.com in my color ideas and work off that for inspiration.

LOL Tiara's & Tattoo's! Sounds like a reality show :) I should get my tat's touched up, I'd do them all at the same time which is probably not a good idea.

This weekend was so much fun. Friday hung out with friends, saw a bunch of people I haven't seen in awhile. OH AND my photog is bringing another photog with him so we'll have two instead of one shooting tons of pictures for the time we're down there, I'm STOKED!

Saturday morning finished my invites and got them out in the mail, people should receive them this week, except for the people in Australia and Shanghai of course :)

I had another person book and my MOH's mom (my second mom) tell me that she is going to make it which made my night since my own mother isn't coming, I told her she can be my mom and she is very happy to do so. I'm so overwhelmed with the love and caring people have shown me, my other MOH's dad offered to fly down there just for my wedding and surprise me there to walk me down the aisle and fly back right after the wedding (very busy guy) but it brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. My aunt told me she bought me two sets of real pearls from Shanghai, one white, one black. She received pearls from my Uncle the night before her wedding and thought she would do the same for me. My mom also gave me a set of real pearls, over 80 years old that were passed down to her. I'm rolling in pearls now! LOL!

Sunday, FI woke me up at 8am to give me a white gold locket on a necklace with a diamond in it and his face from one of our engagement photos inside. It's the sweetest thing ever. That night we had a mojito party where pretty much the entire time was spent talking about my wedding (not instigated by me in the slightest) and everyone is brimming with excitement, makes me feel amazing. Had a little drunken bonding moment with the BM, we're very alike so we butt heads a lot. A few mojitos and some real talk did the trick.

Now today I'm recovering and trying to get my head clear so I can buckle down on wedding stuff.

Amy! I am so glad you had such a fabulous weekend!!!!!!! ahhhhhh!!!! It will make all your hard work worth it once they start texting and calling about your Passports. I will share mine with yall tonight.

So, what did everyone do for Valentine's Day? I am going on Day # 4 of Valentines day with lunch together and our weekly Bachelor Date Night. Love it! Friday Ryan cooked me this amazing meal. It was one of those really sweet nights where we drank wine and talked and all that stuff! Saturday we ran errands all day and had one of his groomsmen's birthday parties. We rented a party bus (um so fun) and took it to a town about an hour away for dinner and going out! It was a LATE night that ended with us singing Karaoke as the sun was coming up at out friend's bar. Klassi! haha And yesterday was fabulous! Brunch allllll day and a FABULOUS FABULOUS dinner that Ryan cooked. It's my favorite meal in the world. We ended the night watching Couples Retreat...which was HYSTERICAL! Hope yall had a great day with your lovers!!!!!!!

I am 5'2, 90 pounds...I am very petit all around, but it is not always a blessing! Girls always want to be size 0, but when you are smaller than a 0 even it makes shopping a pain in the @#$!

Amybermuda, that is sooo annoying about the rooms and them saying they are sold out!! What are you going to do?

Aw both of you Amy', sound like you had a great valentines!
