The problem is, the rest of your vacation, you wont see or get to hang with your guest unless they come and pay for themselves a $80-$90_$100 day pass, meaning i have no idea how much it will be in 200 days lol. with the resorts unconsistant prices, i think its safe to stay in that range lol.
So, for example, Im goin to have a WELCOME PARTY on thursday at the resort, and what about my 9 guest not booked there?? And the party is at night/ dinner time. IF they want, i guess they can come hang all day there and get ready in bathrooms or our room if they want and stay since it is an all day pass? I dont know what to do, it sucks but it is what it is. I have so much to do, that this doesnt help... but i guess at the end of the day, id rather have my family there than NOT there so if staying somewhere else was better for them, they hey, I guess i cant complain sad.gif
AHHHHH That was my exact concern! I wasn't really worried about the actual wedding day, but more so the other events and hanging out with them all weekend! My guests are starting to book, so hopefully, we can spread the word. On my save the dates and website, I am ONLY giving them 1 option. I could just see some stragglers trying to stay at the Best Western or something for $90 a night. Hopefully not though!!!!

Ok you are seriously taking care of business, I need to see your dress ASAP, how exciting!!!!

FI suggested we have dance lessons, he's not a big dancer and wanted to be able to dance to our first song well and make it look good. Our song is also way untraditional and not even many people like it but it's appropriate and fits our story and I love the song so I don't care :)

No, I don't believe they require this. Unfortunately if people want to stay elsewhere they will. That's not a big deal as long as they know they'll have to pay to come onto the property and I'm sure you'll have group events throughout the week for people. Just make them aware that are trying to create a group atmosphere and it's an additional charge for them if they don't stay at your hotel and if they are able to it would be most helpful to you. I doubt you'll have trouble with this.

My MOH & a bridesmaid plus about 6 other guests planned to stay at a timeshare 7 miles away (which is close) but still really upset me. After so much pointless planning everyone is staying at the resort which makes me happy, it's just the easiest. Good luck I'm sure everything will be just fine!
It is the same dress I emailed you a couple of months ago...SO excited!

Yeah you are right!! I need to stop worrying about all this crap! It is very frustrating though...

UGH!! I just got an email from my BROTHER"S GIRLFRIEND saying they didn't wanna stay at the resort!!!!

I really don't think 2 would take away from our wedding and I hate to think that we act like its not special when BOTH days really will be..... He thinks it would be funny to do #1 b/c its next to the Post Office and so lame - they have this screen that they pull down that is cheesy and looks like you are on the beach (no way - totally fake) for pictures. LOL Decisions, decisions.
Cheesy is the way to go! Make it fun and full of laughs and definitely something memorable.

I have decided against the dress that Heidi Elnora and I designed. I found one I LOVE! The designer is Junko Yoshioka. Check out her website to read her bio and see her dresses. Home - InStyle also has her featured and has a lot of her Spring and Fall 2010 dresses on their website. The dress is 100% silk mikado with a mermaid/fit to flair silhouette. It is fitted (and I will make it more fitted!) down to my mid-thighs and then has a big skirt with ruffles (not sure what they are made of and kind of asymmetrical). The neckline is sort of sweetheart, and the dress has a natural waist. BUT the best part of it is this fabulous sash by Amy Kuschel that I am tying around my waist. It's beautiful, and it gives my boy-shape figure some curves. wink.gif The dress and sash are pretty trendy, and I am sure I will regret this 10 years for now. But, oh well!! I love it!!! I can email yall some pictures I took at the salon...of course the dress is way too big and pinned up, but maybe you can get the idea!
I would love to see a picture of the dress!! sounds beautiful

Are you doing a specific type of dance? FI and I are taking dance lessons and are doing the rhumba to michael buble, everything, however, my dress has a huge skirt, and i don't think it's going to be easy to do a rhumba in it! I wish I had thought about that before.

Uggghh, I am so stressed today...I think the most stressed i've been in quite a while. We are making our own invites (supposed to have been sent out January 1st) and they still are not made. My FI was really excited about them in the beginning and had an idea of what he wanted, so I let him basically choose what we did for the invites. Over christmas I said we needed to get them done, and it never happened. Then he promised that he would work on them this weekend and get a good chunk done (I have been working on the already pretty much on my own)....that didn't happen. Last night he said he would do them....he cut 10 pieces of paper and glued them, and some of them he even glued on crooked! He is extremely artsy and probably more capable than I am of making them look nice. I'm so frustrated because I went with his idea for the invites, and he isn't even making much of an effort to do them!

Sorry for ranting, but just needed to vent. Aside from that, I have such a stressful job this year and when I come home from school and see that the invites weren't done, I'm not in a good mood!
