Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

I get married in 31 days and I just decided and completed the seating chart and place cards. I did this because I didn't want people to be split up. I put people with the same interests, friends and age at tables together. I wanted the entire experience to be enjoyable for everyone. I bought ivory place cards from JoAnn Fabrics and printed them myself with a really pretty font. They look perfect! The conversations will be fun for all this way

Yeah, I dont know yet how many guests I will have BUT I will think a place card will be much better. what do you mean by "neck of corona"? I plan to have the sitting guide BUT I think it might not work as you said, people holding seats...I have to learn how to create a seating plan guide

This is what I'm doing... The straws will be for the kids table ones and more fun font etc. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1410368503.475116.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1410368514.890194.jpg

I don't plan on doing place cards (telling people what actual seat to sit in) as we are not having a meal selection dinner. If I had a menu that asked guests chicken or beef on the RSVP, then I would do place cards that signified the selection (seashell for beef, starfish for chicken) to assist servers during dinner service but that's not the case for us (family style dinner was selected)

Thank you for the info on the flower prices! We are just a bit worried about picking them up on the wedding date.  We will certainly consider it though.

@linaco80

This is the note I got from a local florist if you want to compare costs:

Bride's bouquets with local flowers like Roses, Alstroemerias, Gerbera Daisy, Lisianthus, Asian Lilies, and local Calla Lily (Alcatraz) among other flowers cost around $135.00 usd to $165.00 usd, including imported flowers like Orchids, Tulips, Ranunculus, Anemones, Calla Lily and others, the prices starts at $175.00 usd to $225.00 usd and up...Including Peonies start at $255.00 usd
Bridesmaids bouquets with local flowers cost around $50.00 to $70.00 usd, including imported flowers starts at $75.00 and up...
Boutonieres cost $20.00 usd for almost any kind of flowers...
Corsages cost around $25.00 to $35.00 usd
Low centerpieces with local flowers cost around $65.00 usd to $75.00 usd, including imported flowers cost around $85.00 usd to $135.00 usd, Tall centerpieces starts at $155.00 usd.
Tall arrangements for altar or ceremony cost $95.00 usd medium size with local flowers and $125.00 usd large size, including imported flowers start at $150.00 usd.

Does anyone know the typical ceremony outline? I am creating program fans and need to get a general idea of how the ceremony will go down...

@@rebepax Are those prices from Lomas or are you using an outside vendor? I don't want to pay more vendor fees (I have already enough vendor fees lol) Thanks for sharing the prices :)

I was thinking about the same with the fan programs, you could ask your WC how the whole thing will go and then perhaps add timing to the ceremony, cocktail after ceremony, picture time, dance and drinks and end up at the Mojito lounge.

Brides,

Are you using place cards on the table for all your guests? I had a friend who recently went to a DW and told me that at the entrance of the reception dinner, the couple had a nice decorated board "Today we are all a family, please choose any table" (something between those lines)

I thought that was cute and reduces pressure...although I was thinking to use the cards...what are you girls doing?

We are doing escort cards, that indicate what table # our guest are to sit at. This is mostly because my parents are divorced, and we want to keep them far away from each other.

Girls,

I know many of us have asked questions regarding lighting and I do not mean to repeat what has been said multiple times, I just want to ask again if anyone of you know that a string of bulbs can be set up outside of the gazebo, instead of the sting of bulbs being inside? perhaps hanging (or tied) from the roof (or pole) of the wooden gazebo to the trees that surround the area? I think someone said in the past this is not possible, but I want to make sure I am asking the same thing in order to be 100% sure. I would love to add the string of lights (bulbs) outside the gazebo, please see the pics I have attached what I mean, my Zavas pic is nothing done in photoshop lol so I just did what I could. Feedback is appreciated :) Thanks!post-277499-0-71440400-1410445885_thumb.pngpost-277499-0-64774400-1410445907_thumb.gif.png

For those of you discussing seating charts, I'm thinking about doing something like this at plaza Zavaz. There are two palm trees on both sides, that way if it's windy, cards will not fly off the tables .

@@linaco80 that looks really pretty! I have no idea if you can do that or not. When we stayed there in May, I saw workers climbing ladders and setting up the gazebo but I'm not sure if they set up lights outside of the gazebo.

@@LaurenR cute idea for escort cards!!

For brides who got married on the skydeck, did you get ready in your room and walk to the skydeck for the ceremony? I was just informed by my wedding planner that there is no room near the skydeck to get ready in.

Also, does the Azul provide a cake stand?

@@rebepax I'm not sure but my guess is that neither a cake stand nor a cake cutting set are provided, as they are items listed for purchase on the Lomas website.

We are planning to bring a cake cutting set and hopefully the cake will look OK just sitting on the table. It's already expensive enough!

I thought they would provide at least something basic but that's a good question to add to my list haha. There's also really nice choices to buy online :) (which are probably also cheaper than renting them through Lomas, sadly)

I don't believe it would be possible. The distance from the gazebo to the palm trees is quite far. And even if you had a string of lights long enough,..there are not enough trees around to create that visual effect you want.

They did have a set-up similar to this effect done on the beach. So perhaps that might be an option for you.
