Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi Murmel,

Can you please find out if chair covers are standard for the Sky Terrace option?  Also, I bought 60 inch x 25 yard bolts of organza fabric for the old gazebo.  Can you find out if these will still work?  Pictures of the new gazebo and set up at Zavas Plaza will also be appreciated.  Thanks.  Have fun in the warm weather in January!!

Jenny

Hey Jenny, for the sky terrace option, the tables and chite covers as well as white bows are included! Good luck , happy planning!

That's great. The white chair covers and bows will look nice with the red silk flower pomanders I bought on Etsy. I only got 10 to loop over the chairs on the aisle. Thanks a lot.

For the ladies getting married later in the week, I will post an update after our wedding to let you know how it goes. I'm not overly concerned for us on Nov 11 because the forecast isn't looking great anyway... So I am sure we will be moved to an indoor space. At the end of the day, I am sure they will find a spot on the resort that fits each of our weddings! I had been hoping for an outdoor beach wedding, but as long as I am surrounded by happy family and friends - that is all that matters! :) On a seperate note - if anyone wants table number holders (we have 12) or paper lanterns with LEDs (colors: light blue, turquoise and white), let me know!

Hi Stacy, Hope your trip was fantastic! Do you have pictures of the paper lanterns with leds in them? If you have not gotten rid of them i may be interested :)

ame="TaraHall" url="/t/23412/azul-sensatori-brides-post-here/16650#post_1923547"] Tara- Thank you for the compliments! :) We had 30 people (mostly in their twenties and very early thirties- but also our 2 year old, and 8 year old, 12 year old and then a group of our parents and their friens age ranging from 62-70). We felt like there was something for EVERYONE. We did host a couple events but you definitely don't need to play host all week. We also had one couple (our best man) who was celebrating their 3rd anniversary during the week and the resort was a nice enough size that they were able to sneak away and be alone when they wanted to. We all played beach volleyball everyday, the kids thought they were so cool ordering virgin drinks at the swim up bar. At night, we smoked hookah and went to plenty of live entertainment and even a casino night one night. It was the best vacation and every one of my guests said so. It was also by far the best resort food I have ever had. Hope this helps!

It sounds like you had a amazing time! Congratulations!!!!! Do you mind me asking if you guys did the hookah , casino night, and the live entertinment at the hotel, or did you guys go somewhere for it?

Hi! We did all those things right at the resort. We didn't go anywhere else at all. A couple of our friends did some excursions and said they were awesome. We just didn't have time (especially with our 2 year old.) ps- I just re read that post and I meant to say "our 2 year old, AN 8 year old and a 12 yr old" the older kids are not mine! Lol. There are my niece and nephew. :) best of luck!

What is everyone doing about flowers?

Im not happy with the Lomas selection.  Expensive and mediocre.  Is or has anyone ordered flowers from outside the resort and brought them in?

I read on other resort forums that brides were about to have the flowers delivered to the lobby and just went out to pick them up. I've been in touch with a local florist who is offering amazing prices for orchids.  Lomas would like me to pay for my first child for those flowers.

I was worried about flowers from the resort also. I had asked some brides that were already married at my resort and they said they have so many more options once you get to the resort and can sit down with the wedding coordinator.  So maybe talk to other brides or even your resort wedding coordinator?

After reading several planning threads on this site, I decided to make my own bouquets. Afloral.com has many silk bouquets at great prices. I found Dahlia (the Mexican national flower) on clearance for $6.99 I bought several and took them apart and made smaller bridesmaid bouquets and corsages for our mothers. I bought one green orchid bouquet for $8.99 and twelve real touch ivory roses from Hobby Lobby for $3.00 each and combined them to make my bouquet. I bought a cheaper silk ivory rose bouquet ($9.99 at Michael's) and used some of the of the orchids to make a throw bouquet. Hobby Lobby runs 50% off sales and I bought the groom and groomsmen rose bouteniers for about $1.50 each. I tried to make centerpieces but I didn't like them. Instead I borrowed one former bride's idea and will order more small hanging corsages ($45) to decorate the ceremony aisle chairs and have them placed on each table as a centerpiece with votive candles around them I found votive candles (about 2.5 inches tall in glass) in a twelve pack for $5.99 at Hobby Lobby and I used a 40% off coupon.

Lola-- those sound awesome! send pics when you are done with the centerpieces/ corsages! I'm still struggling to decide what I want to do with centerpieces-- I'm going to reuse my bouquets for some of the centerpieces but i'll need about 4 more to have centerpieces for all the tables. There are so many ideas out there-- pinterest is so addictive.

JMK-- have you posted a review yet?!? I couldn't see those pics because i don't have enough posts. boo! :( lol I can't wait to hear how everything went down!!

For those of you who have previously purchased the fabric for the chairs and to cover the gazebo (I am not sure what to call it)... What fabric did you purchase, where, and how much did you bring with you? Thank you!

I just emailed them today about the flowers I wanted, but I also wasnt impressed by what they had to offer and the amount. I may look into making my own. Do you have a link to the handing corsages that you are talking about?
