Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi Lolita,

My wedding is a couple of weeks before your wedding.  I've already received a draft of my detail sheet listing the menus, estimated number of guests and prices for my 2 private events (Welcome Party and Reception); details of my wedding cake (flavors and decoration); flowers for the ceremony; menus for our "Honeymoon Breakfast" and "Romantic Dinner"; and estimated costs for reception decoration set up.  It's helped a lot to see it all written up, including the total estimated costs.

My WC is Christine and she has been outstanding!  She also sent a listing of song suggestions from Mega DJ (eg. Bridal Party Entrance, Bouquet Toss, etc.) and a detailed sheet for us to list the songs we want Mega DJ to play at specific times.  Or, we can just select certain categories of music (like Motown or 90s Hits) and they will play those.  She's also asked about Spa visits/treatments and any other special requests for guests with allergies.  I haven't had any correspondence from Caribe Photo but, if you ask, you should be able to request certain shots.

I've had good luck corresponding with Christine via email.  She always responds within a couple of days.  You should ask your WC for a copy of the detail sheet as well as the Banquet and Spa menus.  At this point, I feel like I've made most major decisions and everything is under control.  You should be getting close to this.

Jenny

Thanks AllieH. That's a wealth of information! I've been to the RM before so I know about a few of the activities you mentioned. We stayed at the Catalonia Royal Tulum and absolutely loved it!

I was more concerned about the fact that Azul Sensatori is in Puerto Morelos - not quite the high life of Mexico, and we have a couple of friends that, if they do actually travel with us, are high maintenance. The evening resort shows or resort bars aren't the kind of thing that they'll go for so that's why I was wondering about the distance to PDC or Cancun for the bars and shopping.

I also see they've changed their wedding packages and they're pretty pricey now. Not the kind of thing I want to go overboard for on a vow renewal. Do you have to take one of those packages?

Thanks again ladies!

It's about 20-30 minutes to PDC, and about 30 minutes up to Cancun (so not really all that far either).

You can still choose to do what I'd call "a la carte" wedding decorations and such. You don't have to buy one of the Memorable Moments packages.

Here's Lomas' wedding site to help with some of the options:

http://www.weddingsbylomastravel.com/planning/

The decorations are under the "Miscellaneous" Category, and Food and Beverage has its own category.

The actual wedding packages are here:

http://www.weddingsbylomastravel.com/packages/Azul-Sensatori

You can start with the basic package ($950, or complimentary with a qualifying room stay), and then build from there.

Hi Lola,

Christine sent the detail sheet and a lot of other info around mid-January. I had asked if all decisions had been made and she came back with the detail sheet and a list of everything else we need to do to finalize resort prep. My FI and I have had some fairly serious health issues lately so I haven't been focused on on getting a response to her.

Hi ladies!! Just wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone. We just had our wedding this past Saturday and it was seriously everything I ever dreamed of. Everyone said it was the best all inclusive resort they've ever been to and the "best wedding we've ever been to!!!" - I seriously can't tell you how many people told me that over and over again. We are enjoying our honeymoon now but I will be sure to log back on once I get home next week! I hope everyone enjoys these teaser photos. They are not my professional ones, just a few that our friends took!

For brides getting married on the beach, do you plan to wear heals, sandals or go barefoot. I remember someone saying the sand was compact. I would like to wear heels for the reception (I'm 5'1) and I am wondering how I should alter my dress if I plan to change from flats to heels.  Any advice?

Thanks
