Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Hi! I just got back Sunday and we were in the Premium Swim Up Suite. I definitely didn't think there were any issues with privacy and I LOVED having a swim up suite. We had the jazcuzzi in our room as well as one outside, and then the pool bed that led into the lazy river. The only thing I did not like is that our guests that weren't "Premium" weren't allowed to be in the area at all! :( I really thought this was lame especially at night bc I have a toddler. I wanted to out him to bed and then hang out on our balcony/hot tub/pool right outside our room. I'm not gonna lie... at night we broke this rule. I felt like if I paid for a premium suite I was going to enjoy that hot tub with whoever I wanted. How could they tell me someone can't be in my hot tub? Besides, once he went to bed I couldn't leave my room... I was trapped and my guests weren't technically allowed to come hang? lame! Other than that, I loved the concept and didn't have any issue with privacy. During the day I typically didn't break that rule bc we jsut went over to the family pool by the "Wave Swim Up Bar" and made that our group's spot for the week. It was wonderful! Also, I was a June 2013 bride and I started contact with my Miami WC in March 2012. I made all those food decisions, etc just to get it out of the way and then changed anything I wanted as time went on. The decisions are not set in stone until you pay, but at least they are out of the way if you make them early and don't need to change them. :) Definitely do whatever you are comfortable with, though!
My wedding is right around the corner and I feel like I have not done much..ahhh. I am such a last minute planner but can someone tell me what were your essential items for your OOT bags and the best websites to purchase these items... Thanks!
There's a forum about Frugal Brides OOT Bags. The author has posted lots of pictures and links to websites for items for OOT bags. It's a great resource.

Hey Everyone, I am going to be at Azul Sensatori next week so if you have any requests, let me know.  I can grab some pics of menu, locations, etc.
Tammy, Thank you for offering! I am 90% sure we are getting married at the Azul Sensatori in Negril April 2014. I am in love with the beach and what I have seen about the Azul in the Riviera Maya. My one thing keeping me from the decision is this- activities. Judging by your experience at the multi-generational Azul Sensatori, do you think there are enough activities/a lively enough atmosphere at these resorts for about 60 guests? The majority of the guests will be in their upper twenties. Thank you so much for your help! Tara

Yay! I was one of the lucky brides to run into Tammy while at Azul this past week. We just got back (had our wedding June 28) and already can not wait to go back!! Stunning pictures!!! I am almost ready to make my decision. We have it narrowed down to four resorts- Azul Sensatori is at the top of the list and your post makes me so excited about it! Did you feel like there was a lively enough environment at the resort/enough activities for people in their twenties? I am in love with the boutique style of this resort. I just want to make sure I am not the host all week. Again, thanks so much for sharing. You are beautiful! Tara

Welcome to the forum Tara! I wish we could offer more direct answers, but I don't know that any of us have been to the Sensatori Negril yet. (last I checked I think it was still under renovation) So I am not sure if it will be the same as the Sensatori in the Mayan. Overall, Azul Sensatori is a lovely resort, with great food and service. There are plenty of daytime activities (soccer, volleyball, water aerobics, games, water craft-kayaks, etc.) and then the evenings there is live music and an entertainment show. However it is not a crazy loud/party resort, since it really is family oriented. So if any of your guests have children....they will love it!

I got married there 2 years ago, and we had 63 guests ranging in age from 8 months to 73. Everyone loved the resort and the atmosphere! You can also check out the Official thread which might help answer more questions: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/84306/official-azul-sensatori-thread

Tara- Thank you for the compliments! :) We had 30 people (mostly in their twenties and very early thirties- but also our 2 year old, and 8 year old, 12 year old and then a group of our parents and their friens age ranging from 62-70). We felt like there was something for EVERYONE. We did host a couple events but you definitely don't need to play host all week. We also had one couple (our best man) who was celebrating their 3rd anniversary during the week and the resort was a nice enough size that they were able to sneak away and be alone when they wanted to. We all played beach volleyball everyday, the kids thought they were so cool ordering virgin drinks at the swim up bar. At night, we smoked hookah and went to plenty of live entertainment and even a casino night one night. It was the best vacation and every one of my guests said so. It was also by far the best resort food I have ever had. Hope this helps!

SO pretty! We just confirmed Samuel as our photographer for next April and I'm even more excited after seeing your pics!

Just curious, when did you do your TTD? The day after? Also, are you planning to have your dress cleaned and preserved or what do most people do after TTD sessions? Is there any issue with it actually ruining the dress? Sorry...I'm trying to decide if I want to do it as I love my dress and want to keep it in good condition for any future kids haha.
